Birds in your neighborhood with Kari Larson

This interactive presentation will feature twelve birds that are relatively easy to spot in Northern New Jersey. Participants will learn how to visually identify each bird, listen to the calls or songs of each bird and discuss the birds' favorite foods. Some of the birds featured will be the goldfinch, the house sparrow, the chickadee and the red-bellied woodpecker to name a few.

After the talk, participants will visit the "Birdseed Bar" and use a colorful chart to create a custom seed mix that they can take home to attract their favorite birds.
