Last week's arrests and incidents as released by the Secaucus police.

On 10/30/2019 at 8:50 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 25 year old male, Shawn Thomas of Paterson, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Thomas was served his complaint summons along with 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 10/30/2019 at 2:50 PM, Secaucus Police responded to 100 Metro Way on a report of a recovered stolen bicycle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 25 year old male, Miqueli Harvey-Steriti of Hoboken, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Weehawken, NJ in the amount of $750.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $25.00. Mr. Harvey-Steriti was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and was subsequently transported to the Weehawken Police Department.

On 10/30/2019 at 10:19 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Elizabeth Police Department to take into custody a 43 year old male, Anthony Jackson of Elizabeth, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Belleville, NJ in the amount of $500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of South Brunswick, NJ in the amount of $200.00. Both the Belleville Police Department and the South Brunswick Police Department released Mr. Jackson on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Jackson was able to post bail for the warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ and he was released from police custody.

On 10/31/2019 at 4:34 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 37 year old male, Hakeem Williams of Jersey City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. The police also arrested a 24 year old female, Jennifer Castillo-Alfaro of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $50.00. Mr. Williams was served his complaint summons along with 7 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. Ms. Castillo-Alfaro was able to post bail for the involved warrant and she was released from police custody.

On 11/01/2019 at 3:37 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23 year old male, Jose Lopez of Guttenberg, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Lopez was served his complaint warrant along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 11/01/2019 at 9:32 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24 year old male, Cristian Mejia of Lyndhurst, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Mejia was served his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 11/01/2019 at 10:04 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Cranford Police Department to take into custody a 22 year old male, David Pieczyrak of Linden, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Mr. Pieczyrak was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On 11/02/2019 at 2:19 PM, Secaucus Police responded to 225 Maple Street on a report of a neighbor dispute. During the investigation, the police arrested a 65 year old female, Joann Lipper of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. The Secaucus Municipal Court did release Ms. Lipper on her own recognizance pending a future court date and she was released from police custody.

On 11/02/2019 at 3:46 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 57 year old female, Yvette Hawthorne-King of New York, NY for Shoplifting [2c:20-11B(1)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3A(7)] for providing false information to law enforcement. Ms. Hawthorne-King was served her complaint summons and she was released from police custody.
