This week's extreme heat is putting a damper on Westwood’s Summer Concert Series! This week's show with The Counterfeiters is being postponed to July 28th. There will not be a concert this week.
Next up in the series will be
Danny V’s 52nd Street Band hits the bandstand on Thursday, July 9. Led by pianist, singer and showman, Dan Vechesky (Danny V) and featuring top NYC metro-area musicians, this band is driven to detail in re-creating Billy Joel’s music and live stage show. The band has been touring nationally for over 20 years and is the world's longest running tribute to Billy Joel, earning a reputation of rocking "A"-List venues. The concert will begin at 8:00 pm. Early birds are welcomed and encouraged!
Here’s Elton will return to the bandstand on Thursday, July 16 performing all of Elton John’s biggest hits as performer Russ Davis recreates the sights and sounds of Sir Elton himself including outrageous costumes, fabulous sun-glasses, and an incredible supporting band.
Finally, the concert season ends with
Tramps Like Us on Thursday, July 25. Front-man Mark Salore brings 34+ years of road-tested musicianship with Tramps Like Us to the Westwood Summer Concert Series. Their spirit, energy and intensity have earned the band the distinction of the planet’s most revered Bruce Springsteen Tribute band.
TUESDAY July 28 (rescheduled from July 2) will feature a new band in Westwood’s line-up –
The Counterfeiters, a North Jersey band covering 90’s party rock music, alternative rock and grunge rock including a retro set-list from Oasis, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Smash Mouth, No Doubt, Lit, Third Eye Blind and more. Torn-up jeans, flannel shirts and butterfly hair clips are encouraged!
This year’s Summer Concert Series is generously sponsored by First Westwood Realty, Visions Federal Credit Union, Hackensack Meridian Health Pascack Valley Medical Center, Light Bridge Academy and Valley Bank. All shows begin at 8 pm. Concert goers are reminded to bring their chairs and blankets and to shop Westwood’s local eateries for their picnic baskets. The concerts are free to attend and are wheelchair accessible. All programs will be photographed.
