Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge
Patrick Murray announce that at approximately 11:11 p.m. on July 7, 2026, members of the
Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Godwin Avenue
on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located a 32-year-old male victim from Paterson
suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim was transported to St. Jospeh’s University
Medical Center in Paterson for treatment. Members of the Paterson Police Department located a
potential crime scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes
available.
