Jersey City Man Charged With Murdering His Sister

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit has arrested a 40-year-old male following the death of an assault victim in Jersey City.

Alerjuan Bradley, of Jersey City, is charged with one count of Murder in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3a(1)/(2), a crime of the first degree. He was arrested at his residence on Friday, July 24, 2026, and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.

At approximately 11:40 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, the Jersey City Police Department was notified of a domestic dispute at a residence on Woodlawn Avenue. Responding officers located an injured female – later identified as Yanesha Bradley, 47, of Jersey City – who reported being assaulted by her brother, Alerjuan Bradley. The victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center and was pronounced deceased on Friday, June 5, 2026. The Regional Medical Examiner determined the Cause of Death to be Complications of Blunt Force Injuries and the Manner of Death to be Homicide.

The above charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty. R.P.C.3.6(b)(6)
