Secaucus Police Blotter: July 27, 2026 to August 2, 2026

1. On 07/26/2026 at 11:25 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Union Township Police Department to take into custody a 47-year-old female, Latisha Davis of Union, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $3,000.00 with a 10% option along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $5,0000.00 with a 10% option. Newark did release Ms. Davis on her own recognizance pending a future court date. Davis was able to post bail for the outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ and she was released from police custody.

2. On 07/29/2026 at 1:32 PM, the Secaucus Police arrested a 38-year-old male, Milton Leon of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $1,100.00 with a 10% option. Leon was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Leon was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

3. On 07/29/2026 at 2:09 PM, Officers from the East Rutherford Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transfer custody of a 25-year-old male, Leandro Arias of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. Arias was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

4. On 07/29/2026 at 3:57 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33-year-old male, Kelvin Ortega-Delossanto of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Ortega-Delossanto was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

5. On 07/29/2026 at 4:12 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Jail to take into custody a 27-year-old male, Mohamed Kiawu of Metuchen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $7,500.00 with a 10% option. Kiawu was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

6. On 07/30/2026 at 9:52 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 32-year-old male, Mergim Balidemaj of Lyndhurst, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Sayreville, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Balidemaj was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Mr. Balidemaj was able to post bail for the involved warrant issued out of Sayreville, NJ. Mr. Balidemaj was issued his complaint summons along with 7 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.

7. On 08/01/2026 at 9:21 AM, Secaucus Police observed 2 individuals who appeared to be sleeping inside a parked motor vehicle in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30-year-old female, Imoni Nicholson of Pompton Plains, NJ for Exhibiting a Fraudulent Insurance Card [2C:21-2.3B]. Nicholson was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Wood Ridge in the amount of $1,000.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Passaic, NJ in the amount of $750.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Gairfield, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Ms. Nicholson was released on her own recognizance pending future court dates. Ms. Nicholson was issued her complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and she was released from police custody.

8. On 08/01/2026 at 5:41 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 35-year-old male, Jesus Gutierrez of Belleville, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Nutley, NJ in the amount of $550.00. Gutierrez was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

9. On 08/01/2026 at 8:31 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of Centre Avenue and John Street on a report of an individual sleeping inside a motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 21-year-old female, Sophia Dismukes of Lawrenceville, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Dismukes was issued 5 motor vehicle summonses and she was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

10. On 08/01/2026 at 9:40 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the 200 block of County Avenue on a report of criminal mischief to a residence. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30-year-old male, Devonte Chisolm of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $5,000.00 with a 10 % option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Woodbridge, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00. Chisolm was unable to post bail for the involved warrants. Officers from the Hoboken Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Chisolm for transport back to their agency.

11. On 08/01/2026 at 11:51 PM, Officers from the Newark Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transfer custody of a 34-year-old male, Alexander Lighty of Philadelphia, PA for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,000.00 with a 10% option. Lightly was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

12. On 08/02/2026 at 3:29 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 35-year-old male, Christian Hanna of Garfield, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Garfield, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Hanna was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

13. On 08/02/2026 at 10:54 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 43-year-old female, Janette Correa of New York, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Correas was issued their complaint summons and was released from police custody.


These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
