August 9, 2026 – DWI Arrest/Hit and Run Accident
At approximately 1906 hours, PO Soltis was dispatched to 403 Frank E Rodgers Blvd N on a report of a MVA Hit and Run. Upon arrival, the caller stated a Black Ford Explorer was travelling North on Frank E. Rodgers Blvd N, and struck a parked Silver Honda Accord with the front of the vehicle then fled the scene. Shortly thereafter, Sgt Lecca conducted a traffic stop at Harrison Avenue and 1st street on a Black Ford Explorer that was confirmed to be the vehicle that fled the MVA. The operator, Mr. Nelson E. Manuelesmejia displayed signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest for DWI. He was later released to a responsible party.
August 10, 2026 – DWI Arrest
At approximately 0225 hours, PO Titterington conducted a motor vehicle stop on a brown Land Rover after the operator of the vehicle disregarded a traffic control device. Th driver, Mr. Andre Lima displayed sign of intoxication and was subsequently placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. He was later released to a responsible party.
August 10, 2026 – DWI Arrest
At approximately 0143 hours while patrolling the area of Hamilton St and N Second St, PO Delgado observed a 2010 Gray Kia Forte operating without the headlights illuminated. He then got behind the vehicle and conducted a random license plate inquiry which yielded results on the registered owner Mr. Cesar A. Bedon Navarro being a suspended driver. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was positively identified as the registered owner. Mr. Navarro displayed signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest for DWI. He was later released to a responsible party.
August 10, 2026 – Warrant Arrest
At approximately 1841 hours, near the intersection of Frank E Rodger's Blvd S, and Bergen St, PO Titterington conducted a traffic stop on a black Honda civic after observing the vehicle travel straight through a left turn only lane. After making contact with the driver, Mr. Tsanimp, his information was relayed to dispatch which revealed an active ACS warrant out of Newark for $2500 as well as an active ATS warrant out of Riverdale for $1500 and an active ATS warrant out of Denvillefor $1500. Mr. Tsanimp was placed under arrest for the active warrants and later released after bail was posted on his behalf.
August 11,2026 – Obstruction Arrest
At approximately 1030 hours, while on scene of a medical emergency, PO Colon observed a vehicle parked behind the ambulance with its hazard lights activated. She approached the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Ms. Ana E. Ramosterrero, and advised her that she needed to move her vehicle due to her delaying traffic. Ms. Ramosterrero stated that she was not moving her vehicle because she needed the parking spot in front of 316 Harrison Ave for an appointment. She was again advised that she needed to move her vehicle which she refused to do so. PO Colon then began to initiate a motor vehicle stop at which time, Ms. Ramosterrero began driving away while PO Colon was standing in front of her vehicle. She shouted multiple times for her to stop the vehicle however, she failed to do so, causing PO Colon to have to move out of the way to avoid being struck by the vehicle. Ms. Ramosterrero drove approximately a few feet up the block and proceeded to park the vehicle. PO Colon asked Ms. Ramosterrero repeatedly to provide her license, registration, and proof of insurance which she disregarded and began walking away. Ms. Ramosterrero was advised that she was not free to leave and that she needed to provide the requested documentation. Ms. Ramosterrero was subsequently placed under arrest for obstruction. She was later released from police custody on a summons pending a future court date.
August 12, 2026 – Warrant Arrest
On 08/12/26, at approximately 2243 hours, PO Gomez and PO Cecere conducted a random license plate inquiry of a 2010 white Mercedes-Benz GL. The inquiry revealed that the registered owner had an active ATS warrant out of Saddle Brook Township with full bail set at $1,000.00. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at 217 Harrison Ave & it was confirmed the driver, Ms. Sumaya Hossain, was the registered owner. Ms. Hossain was arrested, transported to police headquarters & processed. Ms. Hossain was released on her own recognizances pending a future court date.
August 13, 2026 – Warrant Arrest
At approximately 0919 hours, West Orange PD arrived at police headquarters and dropped off Mr. Monity D. Johnson, who was wanted out of the Town of Harrison. Mr. Johnson was processed and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
August 13, 2026 – Warrant Arrests
At approximately 0922 hours, while patrolling the area of Harrison Avenue and Passaic Avenue, PO Christian Vargas conducted a random license plate inquiry on a white Volkswagen. The results yielded an active ATS warrant out of Newark for the registered owner in the amount of $1,000.00, with 10% bail allowed. A motor vehicle stop was conducted in the Tops Diner parking lot & PO Jared Hoholick arrived on scene to assist. The stop confirmed that the registered owner, Mr. Roberto Olvigalindo was driving. Mr. Olvigalindo was arrested & transported to police headquarters for processing.
Ms. Shannon Walsh arrived at headquarters to post Mr. Olvigalindo bail. Ms. Walsh's driver's license information over to dispatch to have it attached to the CAD. The results yielded an active ATS warrant out of Bloomfield PD in the amount of $1,000.00, with 10% allowed. Ms. Walsh was advised of her outstanding warrant, arrested & processed at police headquarters.
Newark PD released Mr. Olvigalindo on his own recognizance with a future court date scheduled. Ms. Walsh posted 10% of the bail and was given a new court date by Bloomfield. Both parties were released pending their new court dates.
August 13, 2026 – Warrant Arrest
At approximately 2052 hours, while patrolling the area of 2 Passaic Avenue (7-), PO Anthony Cecere conducted a random license plate inquiry of a black 2024 Nissan Sentra. The inquiry revealed that the registered owner had an active ATS warrant, out of Hoboken Municipal Court, with a bail amount of $750.00, 10% allowed. PO Cecere conducted a motor vehicle stop in the 7-Eleven parking lot & confirmed the driver was the registered owner, Mr. Matthew Garth. Mr. Garth was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters & processed. Shortly after being processed, a male party arrived at police headquarters & posted bail for Mr. Garth. Mr. Gartch was released from custody pending his court appearance.
August 13, 2026 – Warrant Arrest
At approximately 2028 hours, while patrolling the area of Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard and Cleveland Avenue, PO Connor McClelland observed a white 2010 Chrysler Sebring traveling southbound on Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard that failed to maintenance their right front headlamp. A motor vehicle stop was conducted & dispatch advised the registered owner of the vehicle has an NCIC warrant out of Union County Sheriff's Office. It was confirmed the driver of the vehicle, was the registered owner Mr. Kevin A. Davis. Mr. Davis was advised the reason for the stop & the outstanding warrant. Mr. Davis was arrested, transported to police headquarters & processed. Mr. Davis was then transported to Essex County Correctional Facility pending his court appearance.
August 14, 2026 – DWI Arrests
At 0026 hours, P.O. Gerard Castelano observed a vehicle drive over the double yellow line, veering into the westbound lane on multiple occasions on Harrison Avenue. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Harrison Ave & 6th Street with P.O. Hector Rueda arriving on scene to assist. While officers were speaking to the driver, Mr. Marlon V. Sarango-Chamba, PO Castellano observed his eyes to be very bloodshot, watery, glassy eyed, and was able to detect an overwhelming odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath. Mr. Sarango-Chamba was asked to exit her vehicle to take field sobriety tests, which were performed and failed. Ms. Sarango-Chamba was placed under arrest for DWI & later she provided breath samples with a BAC of 0.20%. Ms. Sarango-Chamba was issued multiple summonses and released to a responsible party.
