August 15, 2026 – Warrant Arrest
At approximately 0848 hours, PO Barbosa conducted a traffic stop on 2025 Tesla Model 3 after a random license plate inquiry revealed one (1) active warrant out of our jurisdiction in the amount of $1000.00 for the registered owner, Mr. Emiliano M. Torres. The driver's license confirmed the driver to be the registered owner and he was subsequently placed under arrest for the above-listed warrant. He was later released from police custody after bail was posted on his behalf.
August 15,2026 — Forgery/Theft by Deception/Credit Card Theft Arrest
At approximately 1154 hours, PO Azua-Lucas and PO Barbosa responded to Valley National Bank on a report of a suspicious individual attempting to withdraw funds from an account using a withdrawal slip that had been flagged by the bank's system. PO Barbosa made contact with the individual and advised him that Bank personnel reported suspicious activity involving an attempted $4,400 withdrawal from a checking account flagged by Valley National Bank in Newark. The individual initially identified himself and provided pedigree information. The individual appeared increasingly nervous and was sweating profusely. When questioned regarding his identity and age, he admitted that the name he provided was not his true identity and was the name listed on the withdrawal slip. He subsequently identified himself with a different name. He was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing. Based upon the investigation and evidence obtained, the defendant, now identified as Mr. Patsy R. Ragonese, was found to have multiple outstanding warrants out of Union County Sheriff’s Department, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office and Bernards Township . Additionally, he was charged with the following offenses; N.J.S.A. 2C:21-1(a)(1) – Forgery- N.J.S.A. 2C:29-3(a)(1) – Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution- N.J.S.A. 2C:20-4 – Theft by Deception- N.J.S.A. 2C:21-6(c)(1) – Credit Card Theft.
Warrant Arrest – August 16, 2026
At approximately 1655 hours, while patrolling the area of Frank E Rodgers Blvd S, PO Rivera conducted a random license plate inquiry on a Silver Ford which yielded positive results for the registered owner having a suspended license and an expired registration. He conducted a motor vehicle stop and spoke with the driver identified as Mr. Cristhian Andres Legarda Mejia. A check on Mr. Mejia driver's license further yielded an active ATS Warrant for $750.00 USD out of Elizabeth. Mr. Mejia was subsequently placed under arrest for the above listed warrant. He was later released from police custody after bail was posted on his behalf.
August 17, 2026 – DWI Arrest
At approximately 0108 hours, while conducting a directed patrol of the Bergen Mall, PO Gangi observed a male party asleep inside a gray 2005 Toyota RAV4 which was parked in the lot. He approached the vehicle to check on the male party and ensure that he was in good health and did not require medical assistance. The male party, later identified as Mr. Julio Padinha displayed signs of intoxication and was subsequently placed under arrest for DWI. He was later released from police custody to a responsible party.
August 17,2026 — Obstruction Arrest
At approximately 1940 hours, while patrolling the area of Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard North and Central Avenue, PO Barbosa observed an individual, later identified as Mr. Franklin Lugo Valdez, consuming an alcoholic beverage from an open container while standing on the northwest corner of Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard North and Central Avenue. Upon observing PO Barbosa, Mr. Valdez immediately discarded the open container and began walking eastbound on Central Avenue. He instructed Mr. Valdez to stop and advised him that he was being stopped for consuming alcohol in public and that his identification was required in order to issue the appropriate quality-of-life summons. Mr. Valdez became agitated and stated, "No, I don't have an ID," while attempting to walk away. Mr. Valdez was advised that he was being detained.to which he repeatedly responded, "No, no I'm not," and continued attempting to leave the area. Consequently, he was placed under arrest. He was processed and charged with Obstructing Administration of Law or other Governmental Function and later released on a summons pending a future date.
August 17, 2026 – Warrant Arrest
At approximately 1917 hours, while patrolling the area of Harrison Avenue and South Third Street, PO Castellano conducted a motor vehicle stop on a white 2014 BMW X3 after a random license plate inquiry via NCIC revealed that the registered owner, later identified as the suspect, Mr. Kevin I. Duyortiz, had one active ATS Warrant out of Newark for $2000.00. Mr. Duyortiz was placed under arrest for the above listed warrant and later released from police custody after bail was posted on his behalf.
August 17, 2026 – Warrant Arrest
At approximately 2237 hours, PO Soltis was patrolling the area of Harrison Avenue and Passaic Avenue when he observed a Gray Kia driving in the middle of two lanes of travel. He conducted a motor vehicle stop and met with the driver, identified as Mr. Quahim S. Mcknight. A check of Mr. Mckight’s license revealed that he had an active ACS warrant out of Newark for $2,500. He was placed under arrest for the active warrant and transported to HQ for processing. He was later released on his own recognizance.
August 18, 2026 – Warrant Arrest
At approximately 00:11 hours, while patrolling the area Harrison Ave & N 3rd St, PO Rueda conducted a random license plate inquiry on a vehicle, a black 2006 Mercedes Benz. The inquiry revealed that the registered owner had one (1) active NCIC want out of Orange PD. He conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Harrison Ave and N 2nd St and met with the driver, Mr. Anthony K. Webb, who was confirmed to be the registered owner. Mr. Webb was placed under arrest and later turned over to the custody of Orange Police Department.
August 18, 2026 - Warrant Arrest
At approximately 1948 hours, while patrolling the area of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. S. and Riverbend Drive, PO Gerard Castellano observed the driver of a gray 2021 Mercedes Benz CL2, driving while using his cellphone. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. S. and Cape May Street. The driver, Mr. Peter O. Aribo, provided all proper documents & an inquiry via NCIC of Mr. Aribo's pedigree information was completed by dispatch. The inquiry revealed that Mr. Aribo had one active ATS Warrant out of Pascack Joint Municipal Court for $1000.00., full bail. Mr. Aribo was arrested, transported to police headquarters & processed. He was later released on his own recognizances pending a new court date.
August 19, 2026 - Shoplifting Arrest
At approximately 0816 hours, PO Christian Vargas was dispatched to Walgreens, located at 432 Bergen Street, on a report of a shoplifting that had occurred several minutes earlier. Dispatch advised Harrison units that the party in question had fled southbound on 5th Street. Walgreens CCTV footage showed a black male wearing a dark-colored sweater, shorts, and white sneakers leaving the store with multiple items for which he had not paid. PO Vargas sent a photograph of the party in question to responding Harrison units. The male party was subsequently located and positively identified at the PATH station and detained by PO Hoholick, PO Oliveira & PO Morel. Walgreens store manager positively identified the male party & Mr. Jasiri Walloe was placed under arrest. Mr. Walloe was transported to police headquarters, processed & released on a summons pending his court date.
August 19, 2026 - Warrant Arrest
At approximately 0934 hours, PO Luann Oliveira responded to Harrison Police Department for an ATS warrant drop off by New Jersey State Police. State Police troopers dropped off Mr. Alex F. Andaganacoro for an ATS out of Town of Harrison. Mr. Andaganacoro was taken into custody & processed. processing room. Honorable Judge Elizabeth McNamara was contacted and stated she would see him in person insider her courtroom. At this time Mr. Andaganacoro was escorted to the courtroom, issued a new court date & released.
August 20, 2026 - Warrant Arrest
At approximately 19:55 hours, while patrolling the area of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S, PO Hector Rueda conducted a random license plate inquiry on a gray 2025 KIA K5. The inquiry revealed that the registered owner, Mr. Jorhan Sanks, had one (1) active ATS warrant out of Harrison. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at the intersection of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S and Crucible Dr. During the motor vehicle stop, it was confirmed the driver was Mr. Sanks. Mr. Sanks was arrested, transported to police headquarters & processed. Mr. Sanks was release on own recognizances and was provided a court date.
