Severe Weather Alert - Tropical Storm Isaias - Tuesday, August 4th, 2020

Severe weather is expected on Tuesday, August 4th with 2-6 inches of rain, 40-60 mph wind gusts and 1-2ft. tidal surges. The Office of Emergency Management is monitoring the current situation and working with the Secaucus Police, Fire and other departments to prepare for, and respond to, any emergency.

Residents, please be aware of the following for Tuesday, August 4th:

  • Please secure all outdoor furniture and loose items to mitigate projectiles.
  • Keep your phones charged and be prepared for power outages.
  • Travel may be impacted. Plan accordingly.
  • Don’t drive through flooded roads.
  • Look out for downed wires and trees.
  • Street sweeping is suspended.
  • Garbage and Recycling pick-ups will continue as scheduled.
  • The Secaucus Swim Club will be closed.
  • “Movies in the Park” is canceled.
  • Check secaucusnj.gov or local news for updates.
  • In case of emergency, please call 911.
