Secaucus Police Blotter 10/12/2020 - 10/18/2020

On 10/12/2020 at 11:56 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the intersection of Park Plaza Drive and Harmon Meadow Boulevard on a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 57 year old male, Darnell Gadsden of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $150.00. Mr. Gadsden was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On 10/13/2020 at 12:33 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 21 year old male, Jose Morales of Union City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Morales was served his complaint summons, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On 10/13/2020 at 4:18 PM, in furtherance of an investigation being conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in regards to a theft that occurred at Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on 05/14/2020, the police arrested a 57 year old female, Elizabeth Lopez of North Bergen, NJ for Theft of Property Lost/Mislaid [2C:20-6] after Ms. Lopez entered Secaucus Police Headquarters surrendered herself. Ms. Lopez was served her complaint summons and was subsequently released from police custody.

On 10/13/2020 at 6:22 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 48 year old male, Dany Silva of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Weehawken, NJ in the amount of $250.00. Mr. Silva was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On 10/15/2020 at 3:07 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Riverside Station Boulevard on a report of an assault. During the investigation, the police arrested a 31 year old female, Sharneen Jemmot of Brooklyn, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Westampton, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Ms. Jemmot was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On 10/15/2020 at 8:15 AM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive. During the investigation, the police arrested a 51 year old male, Steven Ridley of East Orange, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Officer’s from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Ridley for transport back to their agency.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
