Theft
04/06/2026-Officers responded to 331 Broad Street (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the store manager, a male took multiple makeup items then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $1000.00. This incident is under investigation.

04/06/2026-Officers responded to 331 Broad Street (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the store manager, a male took multiple razors, deodorant and various other cosmetics then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $1000.00. This incident is under investigation.

04/06/2026-Officers responded to 60 Orange Street (Home Depot) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, two males took several saw blades and attempted to leave the store without paying. The suspects dropped some of the items when approached by the Loss Prevention Officer, but still fled with five saw blades. The items were valued at $224.85. This incident is under investigation.

04/06/2026-A resident responded to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to report a Package Theft from the area of Main Terrace. The resident received a notification from Nordstrom indicating that her package was delivered. When she arrived home at 1:30p.m., the package was missing. The package contained a raincoat valued at $129.99. This incident is under investigation.

04/07/2026-Brandon Sattherwite age 38 of Montclair NJ. Officers responded to 250 Glenwood Avenue (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a male concealed multiple tubes of toothpaste in a shopping bag then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $205.20. Officers were able to locate the suspect nearby and placed him under arrest. The suspect was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.

04/07/2026-A resident responded to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to report a Theft from Auto that occurred in the area of Berkeley Place. The resident parked his vehicle on the street overnight and when he returned the following morning, he noticed his glove box and center console were rummaged through. A license was missing from the vehicle. The vehicle was left unlocked. This incident is under investigation.

04/07/2026-Officers responded to the area of Patton Drive on report of a Theft from Auto. A resident parked his vehicle in his assigned parking space overnight and when he returned the following morning, he noticed his binoculars and a hunting knife were missing. The vehicle was left unlocked. This incident is under investigation.

04/07/2026-Officers responded to the area of Patton Drive on report of a Package Theft. According to a resident, a package was taken from the vestibule area of the apartment complex. The package contained sneakers valued at $200.00. This incident is under investigation.

04/07/2026-Officers responded to 331 Broad Street (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the store manager, a male took several bags of candy then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $38.34. This incident is under investigation.

04/08/2026-Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Marshalls) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, two males placed various footwear into handbags they took from the rack and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $194.96. This incident is under investigation.

04/08/2026-Officers responded to the area of Dodd Street on report of a Theft from Auto. The complainant parked her vehicle in the parking lot at 7:00a.m. and when she returned at 6:00p.m., she noticed her vehicle was rummaged through. An Apple watch was missing from the vehicle. The vehicle was left unlocked. This incident is under investigation.

04/08/2026-Officers responded to 331 Broad Street (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the store manager, a male took several deodorants and left through the rear exit without paying. The items were valued at $137.88. This incident is under investigation.

04/09/2026-Officers responded to the 200 block of Bloomfield Avenue on report of a Package Theft. According to surveillance footage, the delivery driver delivered the package, took a photo of it, then took the package with him. The package contained clothing valued at $30.00. This incident is under investigation.

04/10/2026-Officers responded to the area of Monroe Place on report of a Catalytic Converter Theft. The complainant heard a sawing sound then observed four males remove the catalytic converter from a vehicle. This incident is under investigation.

04/10/2026-Officers responded to the area of Collins Avenue on report of a Catalytic Converter Theft. A resident heard a loud noise at approximately 02:00a.m. then observed a dark colored SUV pulling away. In the morning, he noticed the catalytic converter was missing from his vehicle. This incident is under investigation.

04/10/2026-Officers responded to the area of Meadow Lane on report of a Catalytic Converter Theft. A resident heard a loud noise at approximately 2:45a.m. In the morning, he noticed the catalytic converter was missing from his vehicle. This incident is under investigation.

04/10/2026-Guervens Bordes age 27 of Elizabeth NJ. Officers responded to 331 Broad Street (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male concealed headphones, hats and t-shirts in a bag and attempted to leave the store without paying. The items were valued at $396.39. Officers arrived and placed suspect under arrest. The suspect was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be was processed accordingly.

04/10/2026-Officers responded to 8 Franklin Street (Stop & Shop) on report of three separate Shoplifting incidents. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, on 04/06/2026, 04/07/2026 and 04/08/2026 the same male and female took several personal health and hygiene products and attempted to return the items at another Stop & Shop location. This incident is under investigation.

04/10/2026-Officers responded to the area of Raab Avenue on report of a Catalytic Converter Theft. A resident noticed that his vehicle was making a loud noise. He took the vehicle to a mechanic who noticed that the catalytic converter was missing. This incident is under investigation.

04/10/2026-Officers responded to the area of Haines Drive on report of a Catalytic Converter Theft. A resident noticed that his vehicle was making a loud noise. He took the vehicle to a mechanic who noticed that the catalytic converter was missing. This incident is under investigation.

04/10/2026-Officers responded to the area of Hoover Avenue on report of an Attempted Theft. A resident observed the suspect on camera approach his front door and then drag his power washer across the street. The resident confronted the suspect who then left the power washer and fled the area. This incident is under investigation.

04/11/2026-Tamir Everson age 24 of East Orange NJ. Officers responded to the area of Lawrence Street on report of an Attempted Theft from Auto. According to the complainant, a male was in the parking garage attempting to enter vehicles. Officers arrived and located the suspect standing in between two vehicles that did not belong to him. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.

04/11/2026-Officers responded to the area of Overlook Terrace on report of a Catalytic Converter Theft. A resident noticed that her vehicle was making a loud noise. She took the vehicle to a mechanic who noticed that the catalytic converter was missing. This incident is under investigation.

04/11/2026-Jamaal Gilbert age 39 of Newark NJ. Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Marshalls) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male placed various socks, sneakers and sandals into a bag then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $229.89. Officers were able to locate the suspect nearby and placed him under arrest. The suspect was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.

04/11/2026-Officers responded to the 200 block of Ampere Parkway and Chester Avenue on report of a Theft from Auto. A resident parked his van at 2:00p.m., and when he returned one hour later, he noticed the passenger window was shattered. There was nothing reported missing from the van at this time. This incident is under investigation.

04/11/2026-Officers responded to 8 Franklin Street (Stop & Shop) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a female took eleven cases of Red Bull then attempted to leave the store without paying. The items were valued at $285.89. The Loss Prevention Officer confronted the suspect and retrieved the items. This incident is under investigation.

04/11/2026-Sharean Bowser age 52 of Elizabeth NJ. Officers responded to 8 Franklin Street (Stop & Shop) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a female took various grocery items then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $493.69. The Loss Prevention Officer confronted the suspect at the exit. Officers arrived and placed the suspect under arrest. The suspect was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.

04/12/2026-Officers responded to 77 Bloomfield Avenue (Walgreens) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a female took nine bottles of Downey Detergent then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $ 99.91. This incident is under investigation.

04/12/2026-Officers responded to 122 Bloomfield Avenue (7-Eleven) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a female took a package of paper towels and anti-freeze then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $23.98. This incident is under investigation.

04/12/2026-Juvenile Male age 17 of Newark NJ. Officers responded to 250 Glenwood Avenue (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a male entered the store and placed several snack items into two backpacks. When the juvenile male noticed that he was being watched by a store employee, he left the backpacks on the floor and exited the store. Officers were able to locate the suspect nearby. The suspect was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly

04/12/2026-Geancarlo Pincaviordan age 32 of Newark NJ and Jenny Machapuncho-Manobanda age 47 of Newark NJ. Officers responded to 8 Franklin Street (Stop & Shop) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male, female and two juveniles entered the store. Upon completion of shopping, the juveniles pushed the cart out of the store without paying. Officers arrived and placed the two adult suspects under arrest. The adult suspects and two juveniles were transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters. The adults were processed and the juveniles were released to an adult.

04/12/2026-Officers responded to the area of Overlook Terrace on report of a Catalytic Converter Theft. A resident noticed that her vehicle was making a loud noise and then noticed that the catalytic converter was missing. This incident is under investigation.

Burglary
04/11/2026-Officers responded to the 300 Block of Watchung Avenue on report of a Burglary and Motor Vehicle Theft. A resident noticed his kitchen window and rear door were open. The key fob to his daughter’s vehicle was taken from a basket and the vehicle was also missing. The vehicle, a gray 2014 BMW X4, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.

04/11/2026-Officers responded to 211 Grove Street (iStorage) on report of a Burglary. According to the complainant, his storage unit was burglarized sometime between 02/23/2026 and 04/11/2026. The complainant noticed a hole cut into the wire roof of the unit. Several pairs of sneakers, watches, hats, clothing and kitchen appliances were missing from the unit. The items were valued at $20,000.00. This incident is under investigation.

04/12/2026-Officers responded to the area of Willard Avenue on report of a Burglary. A resident was woken up by his residential alarm. The resident then yelled from the top of his staircase and heard the suspects exit the residence. Upon further inspection, a side window to the residence was open. Officers viewed surveillance footage which shows a dark SUV in front of the residence during the time of the incident. It is believed the victim’s 2021 BMW and 2025 Porsche were the targets of the incident. This incident is under investigation.


These incidents are currently being investigated by Bloomfield Detectives. Due to the on-going investigations, information will not be released at this time.
