One Dead and Three Injured Following Paterson Shooting

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray announce that on April 18, 2026, at approximately 6:13 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 10th Avenue and East 29th Street on a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they found four individuals with gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center. One of the victims, a 20- year-old male from Oxford, New Jersey was subsequently pronounced deceased. Two of the victims are in critical condition. The fourth victim is in stable condition.

This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes available.
