Youth Urban Farm Club offers the opportunity for youth ages 12-18 to make a difference in your community and learn about gardening while building leadership and teamwork skills. Learn from dedicated community gardeners, urban farmers, and community composters. Must be willing to commit 10-18 hours in the summer to garden sites in Hudson County and Essex County. Be ready to work in the soil, learn about gardening, composting, food systems, food traditions, or animal care, and have fun in all types of weather! All youth who complete at least 10 hours of service will receive a certificate of service and for beginner gardener/composter. Enjoy a productive summer outdoors once a week and get connected to other 4-H events at the county, state, and national level!
Space is limited — sign up today (or by May 20th for the best chance to get assigned to a site)!
