Artist Talk: Under The Influence- Last chance to see!

Join us at Gallery 14C for an in-person chat with the artist behind Under The Influence! "Under the Influence – artists inspired by other artists", will be hosting their artists during our closing reception on Sunday, January 11th, from 1-4 pm.

Artists draw inspiration from everything, including one another. Almost every artist has had the experience of visiting a studio, gallery or museum, seeing a work of art and feeling motivated to make their own art – and that’s what we want to see for this exhibition, the result of that inspiration: something wholly original yet demonstrably influenced by another work. Under the Influence celebrates the journey from admiration to creation, showing the interconnectedness of artistic expression. The inspiration can be overt and obvious, or it can be subtle and barely discernible. We are not looking for copies or homages – we are looking for original work that was sparked by another artist or artwork.
