Blue Envelope Program Launch

Join us Friday, July 18 at 9:30 AM on the front steps of Kearny Town Hall for the official launch of the Blue Envelope Program — a new initiative to help create safer, more supportive interactions between law enforcement and individuals with Autism and other communication disorders.

This collaborative effort between the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, County Executive Craig Guy, Hudson County Department of Health and Human services, Kearny Mayor’s Office, Kearny Police Department, Town Council, and Kearny Public Health Department provides individuals with a Blue Envelope to present during law enforcement encounters. The envelope holds ID, medical details, and communication support tools to reduce misunderstandings and improve outcomes.
