Poetry, monologue, comedy, song all welcomed in community. The {Poetry} Unfold is a moderated Open Forum / safe space where the audience interacts with the artists! Usually facilitated by Ed Majian, the current Washington Park Poet-in-Residence, and occasionally by other poets on the Unfold team (more or less same unique format).
Whether you're interested in creating, presenting a piece (5min slots), simply witnessing others present or the thoughtful discussions on current events, you’ll catch a uniquely inspiring vibe.
* We begin at 7 PM. Signup sheet at venue; please sign up by 6:55. * Two rounds with a 10-15min intermission at roughly 8 PM. During this time, feel free to chat with some of the other attendees. * End time: promptly (most of the time!) 9 PM. :) Follow on IG to see content of weekly Unfolds.
Open to anyone, with a $5 suggested donation (not expected every time!) that helps us pay annual features and take care of our local poets in the event of travel to NYC performances.
