Secaucus Police Blotter 10/23/2023 to 10/29/2023

On 10/24/2023 at 5:30 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Newark Police Department to take into custody a 29-year-old male, Kourtney Chalmers of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $600.00. Mr. Chalmers was unable to post bail and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 10/26/2023 at 8:50 AM, the police arrested a 36-year-old female, Sheena Cross of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Orange, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Ms. Cross was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. East Orange did release Ms. Cross on her own recognizance pending a future court date and she was released from police custody.

On 10/21/2023 at 6:16 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Best Buy located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a customer with a potential fraudulent ID. During a follow up investigation on 10/26/2023 at 11:49 AM, the police arrested a 37-year-old male, Abraham Castilloabreu of North Bergen, NJ for Theft of Identity [2C:21-17A(1)], Trafficking in Personal Identifying Information of Another [2C:21-17.3A] and Exhibiting a False Government Document [2C:21-2.1C]. Mr. Castilloabreu was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Castilloabreu was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 10/26/2023 at 3:30 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 24-year-old male, Amdy Niang of Madison, WI for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. Niang was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 10/27/2023 at 8:47 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a Theft by Extortion incident that occurred on 06/15/2023, the police arrested a 32-year-old male, Luis Abreu of the Bronx, NY for Theft by Extortion [2C:20-5B] and Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer [2C:28-8B]. Mr. Abreu was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Abreu was issued a complaint summons and released from police custody.

On 10/27/2023 at 7:43 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old female, Rosemary Torres of Paterson, NJ for Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-10.2A]. Ms. Torres was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Ms. Torres was issued her complaint warrant along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 10/27/2023 at 9:52 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 21 year old female, Dana Seminara of Annandale, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Ms. Seminara was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 10/28/2023 at 4:55 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Ocean County Jail to take into custody a 23-year-old male, Hamed Bakayoko of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ with no bail. The warrant was issued for the charge of Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] in relation to a shoplifting incident that occurred at T-Mobile located at 85 Plaza Centre Road. Mr. Bakayoko was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Woodland Park, NJ in the amount of $750.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Fairlawn, NJ in the amount of $650.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $350.00. Mr. Bakayoko was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 10/29/2023 at 10:18 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Raydol Avenue on a report of a verbal dispute. During the investigation, the police arrested a 38-year-old male, Jacob Casimiro of Secaucus for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Seaside Heights, NJ in the amount of $750.00. The Seaside Heights Police Department did release Mr. Casimiro on his own recognizance pending a future court date and he was released from police custody.
