Secaucus Police Blotter 11/27/2023-12/03/2023

On 11/28/2023 at 7:23 AM, Secaucus Police were dispatched to On Track located at 50 Hartz Way on a report of a terminated employee refusing to leave the premises. During the investigation, the police arrested a 59-year-old male, George Fraser of Jersey City, NJ for Defiant Trespassing [2C:18-3B] and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(3)]. Mr. Fraser was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 11/28/2023 at 1:11 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 46-year-old male, Simeon Hill of Paterson, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Mr. Hill was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 11/28/2023 at 6:24 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 25-year-old male, Pedro Escalona-Rodriguez of New York, NY along with a 25-year-old male, Steven Cordova of New York, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(2)]. Both Mr. Escalona-Rodriguez and Mr. Cordova were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On 11/29/2023 at 9:49 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 49-year-old male, Malcolm Sirmons of New York, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)], Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police, Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)], Defiant Trespassing [2C:18-3B(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Refusal to Provide Fingerprints [53:1-15]. Mr. Sirmons was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the NJ State Parole Board with no bail and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Kearny, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Sirmons was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 12/01/2023 at 8:35 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23-year-old male, Jhon Reyes Cabrera of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Mr. Reyes was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], specifically a knife. Mr. Reyes was issued his complaint warrant along with 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 12/01/2023 at 12:15 PM, Secaucus Police responded to T.J. Maxx located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 53-year-old male, Gregory Calvo of Union City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Calvo was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Edgewater, NJ in the amount of $550.00. Mr. Calvo was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 12/01/2023 at 3:00 PM, in furtherance of an investigation being conducted by the Secaucus Police Detective Division in relation to an incident of credit card fraud that occurred at Best Buy located at 3 Mill Creek Drive on 10/06/2023, the police arrested a 21-year-old male, Hozifa Mohamed of Orange, NJ for Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card [2C:21-6H], Forgery [2C:21-1A(2)] and Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Mohamed was taken into custody at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road after he turned himself in for the charges. Mr. Mohamed was subsequently released from police custody.

On 12/01/2023 at 5:38 PM, Secaucus Police responded to T.J. Maxx located at 3 Mill Creek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 26-year-old male, Darwin Rincones Crespo of New York, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A]. Mr. Rincones was issued his complaint summons and he was released from police custody.
