Consumer Fraud Alert To The Residents Of Secaucus

Secaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli is urging residents to beware of a construction company who is alleged to be defrauding town residents. The Secaucus Police Department has received six separate complaints from residents against “Soriano Builders, LLC” also known as “Soriano Carpentry and Remodeling,” operated by Gabino Soriano a.k.a. “Rudy”. The alleged complaints range from defrauding the homeowners by receiving payments for work never performed, issuance of bad checks and threats.

A cooperative investigation focused on “Soriano Builders, LLC” also known as “Soriano Carpentry and Remodeling” has been launched, which will be spearheaded by the Hudson County Office of Consumer Protection in conjunction with the Secaucus Police Department. Mayor Gonnelli stated, “all legal means available, both civil and criminal, will be pursued in an attempt to seek relief for the residents of Secaucus.”

All residents who have been defrauded by this company or its subsidiaries and have not yet reported it, are asked to contact the Secaucus Police Department at (201) 330-2060 or the Hudson County Office of Consumer Protection, which operates under the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, Division of Consumer Affairs.
