Join us for some light hill intervals on Newark Ave and Waldo on President's Day. We will do a mile warm up around Enos Jones and do repeats of Newark Ave and Waldo for a total of 20 minutes uphill work (10 minutes up Newark Ave and 10 minutes up Newark Ave and Waldo, with some rest in between). Some of us would end the run at Healy's to grab some fries/burgers/drinks.

Come out for some sun, fresh air and to stretch those legs with a peaceful walk at one of Bergen Countys' best parks for biking and walking. Look for signs of spring peeking thru the snow and in the trees! This will be about a 2 1/2 hour walk covering approx. 5-6 miles at a slow/moderate pace on a paved level path that follows along the Saddle River.

This will be a 4 mile run or so through the streets of Rutherford. If you want a completely flat run, this run's not for you as there are gradual uphills and downhills throughout the run. You are strongly encouraged to wear reflective gear. We run in the street and anything we can do to make ourselves more visible to drivers can only improve our safety.

From there we will cross the street and hike Turkey Mountain doing a loop and may hike the yellow, red and orange dot or other trails depending on trail conditions. This hike may have up to 700 feet elevation and may include water crossings. There can be mud, rocks and roots underfoot.
