1. On September 16th, 2024, while on patrol, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division observed two males engaged in a physical altercation on Bergenline Avenue. Officers immediately intervened and arrested 42- year-old Gerson A. Medrano of North Bergen, NJ, and 39-year-old Edgar R. Manoguambana of Sunnyside, NY, for simple assault [2C:12-1A(1) and disorderly conduct [2C:33-2A]. Both individuals were then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for their arrest processing. Upon the completion of their arrest processing, they were both issued their complaint summonses and released from police custody.

2. On September 16th, 2024, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 30-year-old Cristian D. Huerfanorios of Union City, NJ, after discovering that he had an active warrant, issued by the Emerson Municipal Court. Mr. Huerfanorios was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Huerfanorios was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance with the Emerson Municipal Court.

3. On September 16th, 2024, the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau received a report of a theft. On September 20th, 2024, as the result of their investigation, Detectives arrested 29-year-old John L. Fermin of West New York, NJ, for burglary [2C:18-2] and theft [2C:20-3]. Mr. Fermin was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Fermin was issued his complaint warrants and lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.

4. On September 21st, 2024, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 34-year-old Pedro M. Gomez of Paterson, NJ, after discovering that he had two active warrants for his arrest, issued by the East Rutherford and Saddle River Municipal Courts. Mr. Gomez was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Gomez was released into the custody of Officers from the East Rutherford Police Department.

5. On September 21st, 2024, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the intersection of River Road and Ferry Road for a report of a single vehicle motor vehicle accident. During their on-scene investigation, Officers arrested 25-year-old Rosario Martinez of Cliffside Park, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Ms. Martinez was processed, issued numerous summonses for traffic violations, and then released into the care of Palisades Medical Center staff.

6. On September 22nd, 2024, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 28-year-old Italo R. Azaspunina of West New York, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Azaspunina was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Azaspunina was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released to the custody of a responsible adult.

The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
