1. On October 17, 2024, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Sgt. Harold Milne and Police Officers
Aaron Font, David Chicara, Giovanni Cruzado, Anish Bhisey, and Frank Losurdo responded to
the area of Newark Street and Willow Avenue on reports of a car crash where a driver hit a
parked car. Off-duty Sgt. Francis McCourt was on scene and believed the driver to be under the
influence of alcohol. Officer Font spoke to the driver, identified as 45-year-old Jennifer
Ballester-Palacio of Florida, and detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating
from her breath. Her speech was noticeably slurred. A field sobriety test was conducted, after
which Ballester-Palacio was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. She was
transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing and issued a summons for driving
while intoxicated and reckless driving. As per John’s law she was released into the custody of a
responsible party.
2. On October 17, 2024, at approximately 10:25 p.m., Police Officers Geovanni Cruzado and
Sean Sodora responded to the 1200 block of Bloomfield Street on reports of a trespassing.
Sergeants Adam Colon and Francis McCourt were already on the scene and learned the actor
was seen entering a property on 13th Street. They located the individual, later identified as 31-
year-old Mokhamad Gueye of the Bronx, in the rear yard of a building on 13th Street. Gueye
was arrested for defiant trespassing and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where he
was processed and released with a summons.
3. On October 18, 2024, at approximately 3:45 a.m., Police Officer Frank Losurdo responded to
the area of First and Washington Street on reports of a person sleeping on the sidewalk. When
the individual saw the officer approach, she became irate towards him. She was advised she
couldn’t sleep on the sidewalk and would be issued a summons if she didn’t comply. She began
to scream and aggressively approached the officer who told her she’d be arrested if she didn’t
stop coming toward him. When he attempted to arrest her, she spit in his face. Police Officers
Nicklas Valerius and Anish Bhisey arrived on the scene and were able to place the woman under
arrest despite her trying to resist. She was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, where
she was identified as 35-year-old Allegra Hull of Red Bank. She was charged with aggravated
assault on a police officer, throwing bodily fluids, and resisting arrest. She was found to have
two open warrant outs of Red Bank. She was processed and released on a summons.
4. On October 19, 2024, at approximately 12:55 a.m., Police Officers Frank Losurdo and Anish
Bhisey responded to the 1000 block of Jefferson Street on reports of a burglary and theft inside a
residential building. Building management was able to provide a description of the actor.
Officers observed a man who fit that description on a bicycle near the intersection of Eighth and
Monroe Streets. When the man, later identified as 47-year-old Juan Jimenez of Hoboken, was
told to stop, he instead tried to flee. Officers were able to stop him and arrest him. While placing
Jimenez in a patrol car, officers observed a broken and burned glass cylindrical pipe commonly
used to ingest CDS. A search incident to arrest also located a bottle of prescription legend
medication that were not prescribed to him and a chisel, often used as a burglary tool. Further
investigation revealed Jimenez had stolen the bike he was riding from the garage of the
residential building on Jefferson Street. He was charged with burglary, theft, hindering
apprehension or prosecution, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of prescription legend
drugs, and possession of burglary tools. He was transported to Hudson County Correctional
Facility.
5. On October 20, 2024, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Sgt. Michael Losurdo and Police Officer
Matthew Bonanno responded to CVS, 59 Washington St., on reports of a shoplifting. When they
arrived, officers saw a man, later identified as 57-year-old Howard Jones of Jersey City, who fit
the description of the actor outside the store. Jones was placed under arrest. An on-scene
investigation revealed Jones tried to take items worth a total of approximately $135 and then
tried to leave without paying before he was stopped by store security. A search incident to arrest
located two plastic containers that both had a white rock and powdery substance believed to be
crack cocaine and a glass cylinder with steel wool and burn marks. Jones was transported to
Hoboken Police Headquarters. He was charged with possession of CDS, shoplifting, and
possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional
Facility.
6. On October 20, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Police Officers Daniel Barron and Joshua
Campoverde, responded to ACME, 614 Clinton St., on reports of a shoplifting where the actor
had fled the store after placing hygiene products, worth $299.75, into a bag. He tried to leave but
was stopped by store employees. He gave the employees the bag of stolen items and walked out.
Store security says the same man had also committed shoplifting the night before, taking
approximately $510.47 worth of items. Officers identified the actor in surveillance video as 39-
year-old Christopher Johnson of Jersey City. At approximately 10:10 p.m. that night, Police
Officers Harry Montalvo and Dominick Allegretta responded back to ACME for reports of a
shoplifting where the actor was still on the scene. Sgt. Francis McCourt and Sgt. Adam Colon
also responded. The actor was identified as Johnson and charged with shoplifting. Johnson was
transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. He had two warrants out of Hoboken. He was
processed and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Center.
7. On October 19, 2024, at approximately 11:55 p.m., Sgt. Michael Losurdo and Police Officers
Cynthia Rivera, Keven De La Cruz, Rose Kanan, Frank Losurdo, Matthew Bonano, Daniela
Simone, Geovanni Cruzado, Ricky Truppner, Marvin DeJesus, and Domenick Allegretta
responded to the 500 block of Marshall Drive on reports of a fight. During an on-scene
investigation, a crowd formed and surrounded the officers. Two women and a juvenile assaulted
officers while attempting to keep them from making arrests. Police arrested 37-year-old Jene
Davis and 32-year-old Erica Rivera, both of Hoboken, for hindering apprehension and
aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. They were transported to Hoboken Police
Headquarters, processed, and released with summonses. A male juvenile was also charged with
juvenile delinquency, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct and was released into the custody
of a parent. An additional civilian complaint of simple assault was filed against 38-year-old
Davon Mainor of Hoboken.
8. On October 21, 2024, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Police Officers Dylan Archilla, John
Rodriquez, and Valentino Salgado were on patrol on the 300 block of Marshall Street when they
observed two individuals in a playground area of the Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA). One
was sleeping under a bench, and the other was leaning and wobbling by a rock structure. It was
learned neither was a resident of HHA, therefore, they were trespassing. The man under the
bench first gave officers a fake name but was later identified as 51-year-old Victor Smith of
Hoboken. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where it was learned he had three
warrants from Jersey City. Smith was charged with hindering and criminal trespassing and
released with a summons. The other individual was identified as 42-year-old Julio Ortiz of Union
City, and he was released with a summons for trespassing.
9. On October 21, 2024, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Police Officers John Rodriguez and Remy
Garcia-Marte responded to the 1000 block of Washington Street on reports of a woman in a
basement of a building she didn’t live in. Officers observed an individual who fit the description
of the actor leaving the basement, and they were able to identify the woman as 37-year-old
Brittany Kennedy of Union City. When she was told she was being detained, Kennedy began to
run away from officers. They caught up with her, but she continued to resist arrest, which
resulted in injuries to the officers. Police Officers Rose Kanan and Jason.Montalvo arrived to
assist with the arrest. A search incident to arrest located a hammer, screwdriver, and lock pick. A
follow up investigation revealed that Kennedy broke a $70 lock to get into the basement of the
building where she had been squatting for a few days. She was transported to Hoboken Police
Headquarters and charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, obstruction of justice,
aggravated assault to a police officer, and resisting arrest. She was transported to the Hudson
County Correctional Facility.
10. On October 22, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Sgt. Roary Miller and Police Officers
Rose Kanan and John Rodriquez responded to the 100 block of Newark Street on reports of a
possible assault. They were told a woman, later identified as 47-year-old Stacy Butler of
Hoboken, threw a pizza cutter at a man, but didn’t hit him with it. The man pointed her out on a
nearby bench, but did not want to make an official complaint. It was learned that Butler had an
active warrant out of Hoboken. She was arrested and transported to Hoboken Police
Headquarters and eventually to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. The investigation into
the initial assault call continues, and if evidence shows Butler did in fact throw a pizza cutter at a
bystander, she will be further charged appropriately.
11. On October 23, 2024, at approximately 1:35 a.m., Police Officers Zackary Guido and Aaron
Font observed two men walking on Maxwell Lane between 10th and 11th Streets and recognized
one of them from prior arrests, and knew he didn’t live in that area. They conducted a field
inquiry and one of the men, later identified as 43-year-old Marcus Morales, provided a fake
name. Sgt. Harold Milne and Police Officers Jaydan Gonzalez and Valentino Salgado arrived on
the scene to assist. Sgt. Milne recognized Morales, and it was learned he had warrants out of
Hudson County, Union City, and Hoboken. A search incident to arrest of Morales located a can
of pepper spray, two cylindrical glass tubes with burnt ends, seven metallic rods, steel wool, a
wax fold with white powder suspected to be CDS heroin. He was also identified as a certain
person not to possess a weapon due to a previous conviction of first-degree robbery. He was
charged with possession of CDS, unlawful possession of a weapon, hindering apprehension,
certain persons to not have a weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ultimately
transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
12. On October 23, 2024, at approximately 2:18 a.m., Police Officers Daniela Simone and
Nicklas Valerius responded to the Morris Township Police Department to pick up 35-year-old
Steven Gage of Union City, who had a warrant out of Hoboken for criminal mischief. He was
transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, and it was discovered he had additional warrants
out of Haledon and Fairlawn. He was processed and then transported to the Hudson County
Correctional Facility.
13. On October 23, 2024, at approximately 9 p.m., Police Officers Anthony Rutkowski and Jairo
De La Cruz, responded to ShopRite, 900 Madison St., on reports of a shoplifting where store
security saw the actor place several meat items, worth approximately $71.81, into his cart. He
was then seen moving the meat into his backpack and attempting to leave the store without
paying. The man gave police a false name, but he was later identified as 33-year-old Fabian
Herrrera of North Bergen. A search incident to arrest located a glass pipe and metal rod,
commonly used to smoke CDS. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, and he was
charged with shoplifting, hindering apprehension, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was
also found to have warrants out of West New York and Hudson County. Herrera was transported
to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
14. On October 23, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Sgt. Roary Miller, Sgt. Dennis Figueroa,
and Police Officers Marvin DeJesus, Nicholas Losurdo, Bianca Arroyo, Shawn Sodora, Matthew
Bonnano, John Lawton, and Kyle Seper responded to the 300 block of Adams Street on reports
of a fight. They saw a man, later identified as 33-year-old Edward Carillo of Hoboken, bleeding
from his mouth. An on-scene investigation revealed that Carillo had been in a physical
altercation with another man whose nose was broken. Due to the extent of injuries to the other
person, Carillo was placed under arrest for aggravated assault. He was transported to Hoboken
Police Headquarters, processed, and released with a summons.
