Secaucus Police Blotter 12/09/2019 - 12/15/2019

Last week's arrests and incidents as released by the Secaucus police.

On 12/09/2019 at 12:48 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Salem County Correctional Facility to take into custody a 27 year old male, Vincent Thomas of Lumberton, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Trenton, NJ in the amount of $150.00. Mr. Thomas was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 12/10/2019 at 8:53 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Dunkin Donuts located at 700 Plaza Drive on a report of a theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 36 year old male, Mahamat Ahamat-Goni of Jersey City, NJ for Robbery [2C:15-1A(1)] and Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Ahamat-Goni was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 12/11/2019 at 1:52 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Macy’s Logistics and Operations located at 100 Venture Way on a report of an employee theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 51 year old male, Dwight Butts of Newark, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Butts was also found to have 3 outstanding warrants issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $2,050.00. Mr. Butts was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 12/13/2019 at 12:33 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33 year old female, Sofia Sikaffy-Gonzales of East Rutherford, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Ms. Sikaffy-Gonzales was issued her motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 2 additional motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 12/14/2019 at 12:00 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27 year old male, Yaveh Pena of Union City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Pena was issued his complaint warrant along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 12/15/2019 at 3:59 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Garfield Police Department to take into custody a 36 year old female, Ketty Henriquez-Tejeda of Passaic, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jefferson Township, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. Ms. Henriquez-Tejeda was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and she was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 12/15/2019 at 04:34, Secaucus Police responded to 450 Route 3 West on a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 31 year old female, Karen Talavera of North Bergen, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Ms. Talavera was issued her motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 1 additional motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody to the custody of a responsible adult.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
