Last week's arrests and incidents as released by the Secaucus police.

On 12/16/2019 at 8:01 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 210 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a disabled motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 32 year old male, Mark Hoskins of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $3,000.00 with a 10% option, along with 5 outstanding warrants issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $900.00. The police also arrested a 33 year old female, Danaya Howard of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Woodbridge, NJ in the amount of $739.00. Ms. Howard was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody. The Newark Police Department did release Mr. Hoskins on his own recognizance for the involved warrants. Mr. Hoskins was able to post bail for the warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ and he was released from police custody.

On 12/16/2019 at 1:06 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 56 year old male, Alvin Carr of New York, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. Carr was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $125.00. The Newark Police Department did release Mr. Carr on his own recognizance. Mr. Carr was issued his complaint summons and he was released from police custody.

On 12/17/2019 at 7:39 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 37 year old female, Sellacca Craig of Jersey City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana Hash Oil [2C:35-10A(4)], two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] and Possession of a Chemical Defense Spray greater than ¾ Ounces [2C:39-6I(1)]. Ms. Craig was issued her complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody

On 12/17/2019 at 5:27 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 300 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a suspicious female. During the investigation, the police arrested a 42 year old female, Michelle Douglas of East Rutherford, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Elmwood Park, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Nutley, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Rutherford, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Ms. Douglas was also charged with Possession of a Toxic Chemical for the purpose of Inhalation [2C:35-10.4B(1)], Hindering Apprehension for Providing False Information [2C:29-3B] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Ms. Douglas was served her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 12/28/2019 at 11:20 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. During the investigation, the police arrested a 24 year old male, Jayman Sloane of Bowie, Maryland for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Sloane was issued his complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and he was released from police custody.

On 12/18/2019 at 1:34 PM, Secaucus Police observed 2 suspicious individuals standing in the lane of traffic in the area of County Avenue and Centre Avenue. During the investigation, the police arrested a 40 year old male, Julio Pineda of West New York, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50], Being under the Influence of a CDS [2C:35-10B], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. The police also arrested a 26 year old female, Cilia Lecea of West New York, NJ for Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Possession of CDS believed to be PCP [2C:35-10A(1)], Criminal Mischief [2C:17-3A(1)] and Refusal to get Fingerprinted [53:1-15]. Mr. Pineda was issued his complaint warrant, along with his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated and 4 additional motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. Ms. Lecea was served her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 12/18/2019 at 2:40 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Burlington Coat Factory located at 275 Hartz Way on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 57 year old male, Charles Gore of Newark, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] and Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A]. The police also arrested a 45 year old male, Rick Hazelwood of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)]. Both Mr. Gore and Mr. Hazelwood were served their complaint warrants and were transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 12/19/2019 at 6:40 PM, Secaucus Police responded to 7 Myrtle Avenue on a report of suspicious activity. During the investigation, the police arrested a 43 year old male, Roberto Coello of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $250.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Weehawken, NJ in the amount of $90.00. Both the Union City Police Department and the Weehawken Police Department released Mr. Coello on his own recognizance and he was subsequently released from police custody.

On 12/19/2019 at 7:12 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23 year old male, Johaziel Castillo of Secaucus, NJ along with a 23 year old female, Arlet Collazo-Hernandez of Miami, FL for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)]. Both parties were served their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On 12/19/2019 at 11:07 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Middlesex County Jail to take into custody a 59 year old male, Darrell Stockling of Roselle, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $300.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $150.00. Mr. Stockling was not able to post bail for the involved warrants and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 12/20/2019 at 11:45 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the La Quinta Hotel located at 350 Lighting Way on a report of a group of individuals acting disorderly in the lobby area. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30 year old female, Shantel McMullen of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant out of Jersey City, NJ with no bail. Ms. McMullen was subsequently transported to the Jersey City Police Department where custody was transferred to the Jersey City Police.

On 12/21/2019 at 1:23 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Route 3 East on a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 35 year old male, Todd Vanaken of Fords, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Vanaken was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 1 additional motor vehicle summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 12/21/2019 at 2:09 AM, Officer’s from the Weehawken Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transfer custody of a 44 year old male, Johnny Gomez of Belleville, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500.00 with a 10% option along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of West New York, NJ in the amount of $79.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Gomez was able to post bail for the involved warrants and was released from police custody.

On 12/21/2019 at 8:13 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24 year old male, Randy Fernandez of Jersey City, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $200.00. Mr. Fernandez was able to post bail for the involved warrants, was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 12/21/2019 at 9:50 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 101 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 28 year old male, Sarven Orak of Ridgefield, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Weehawken, NJ in the amount of $145.00. Mr. Orak was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On 12/21/2019 at 5:50 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 700 Plaza Drive on a report of a dispute. During the investigation, the police arrested a 25 year old female, Janessa Suro of Jersey City, NJ for Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(7)] and Possession of a Weapon [Mace] for Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D]. Ms. Suro was also found to have the following outstanding warrants; 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $3,500.00 with a 10% option, 2 additional outstanding warrants issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $200.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $200.00 with a 10% option, 1 additional outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bayonne, NJ in the amount of $3,000.00 with a 10% option. Ms. Suro was issued her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
