Ariel Sandoval-Paulino
On April 25th, 2025, at approximately 12:26AM, the West New York Police Department notified our agency that
their officers were in the area of 64th Street and Bergenline Avenue, with a male who reported that he was beaten
and robbed of his scooter at 68th Street and Bergenline Avenue. Members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s
Patrol Division immediately responded and received a description of the suspect and the scooter taken from the
victim. While speaking with the victim, officers observed multiple lacerations on the victim’s body and face. The
victim was also missing a part of his tooth as the result of the incident. As West New York’s Emergency Medical
Services were beginning to evaluate the victim, detectives and officers of the West New York Police Department
informed us that they located a male, matching the suspect’s description, who had a scooter in his possession and
blood on his clothing. During the remainder of the investigation, the victim was able to positively identify the
suspect as the individual who committed the robbery, which was then confirmed via our CCTV surveillance cameras
from the intersection of 68th Street and Bergenline Avenue. As the result of this joint investigation with the West
New York Police Department, our officers arrested 36-year-old Ariel Sandoval-Paulino of North Bergen, NJ, for
robbery [2C:15-1A(1)] and disorderly conduct [2C:33-2A(1)]. Mr. Sandoval-Paulino was then transported to the
Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Sandoval-Paulino was issued his complaint warrant and then lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.
