On 04/28/2025 at 3:28 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 29-year-old male, Jose Mora of Newark, NJ for Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A] for operating a motor vehicle that was bearing a stolen license plate. Mora was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 04/28/2025 at 11:09 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Harmon Suites located at 455 Plaza Drive on a report of a guest being disruptive. During the investigation, the police arrested a 74-year-old female, Dale Goodman of Secaucus, NJ for Terroristic Threats [2C:12-3A] for making threats at the hotel staff. Goodman was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 04/28/2025 at 8:51 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 27-year-old female, Smarlyn Castillo-Rodriguez of Newark, NJ and a 46-year-old female, Isabel Garcia-Barrera of Newark, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B()2)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)]. Both Ms. Castillo-Rodriguez and Ms. Garcia-Barrera were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On 04/29/2025 at 7:29 PM, Officers from the New Jersey State Police responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transfer custody of a 30-year-old male, Isaiah Rios of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ with no bail. This warrant was issued in relation to a Shoplifting incident that occurred at Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on 04/14/2025. Rios was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Brunswick, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00. Mr. Rios was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 04/29/2025 at 4:19 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Bergen County Jail to take into custody a 62-year-old male, Charles Gore of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $600.00. Gore was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 04/29/2025 at 11:21 PM, Secaucus Police responded to CVS located at 101 Plaza Centre Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 37-year-old male, Johnathan Chapel of Newark, NJ along with a 30-year-old male, Robert Cestari of Kearny, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Cestari was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Crack Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Mr. Cestari was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Harrison, NJ with no bail. Mr. Chapel was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bloomfield, NJ in the amount of $7,500.00. Both Mr. Chapel and Mr. Cestari were issued their complaint warrants and were subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 04/30/2025 at 7:32 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 1 Plaza Drive on a report of a male being harassed by another individual. During the investigation, the police arrested a 53-year-old male, James Vaughn of Secaucus, NJ for Terroristic Threats [2C:12-3A], Harassment [2C:33-4A], Bias Intimidation [2C:16-1A(2)], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D] and 4 counts of Prohibited Weapons [2C:39-3E]. Vaughn was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Suffolk County, NY with no bail. Due to this outstanding warrant, Mr. Vaughn was additionally charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Vaughn was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 05/02/2025 at 2:44 AM, Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle being operated in a reckless manner in the area of Flanagan Way and Paterson Plank Road. A motor vehicle stop was conducted with the involved vehicle. During the motor vehicle stop, the vehicle fled from the police. The vehicle was subsequently located in the area of 9th Street and Front Street. The operator of the motor vehicle, a 23-year-old male, Antonio Rosario-Matos of North Bergen, NJ was arrested for Eluding [2C:29-2B] and Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Rosario-Matos was issued his complaint summons along with 7 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 05/02/2025 at 11:03 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive and took into custody a 38-year-old male, Christopher Aramini of Patchogue, NY for Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(1)]. Aramini was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.


These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
