Newark Man Shot in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray announce that at approximately 8:28 p.m. on May 10, 2025, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Godwin Avenue on a report of a shooting. Police located a 31-year-old male from Newark, New Jersey, suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
