1. On May 6th, 2025, 34-year-old Robert N. Ojeda of Guttenberg, NJ, walked into police headquarters, requesting to turn himself in for an active warrant for his arrest, issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. Mr. Ojeda was placed under arrest and processed. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Ojeda was issued his complaint warrant and then lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.

2. On May 9th, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 33-year-old Jose M. Vivas-Quintero of New York, NY, after discovering that he had an active warrant, issued by the Weehawken Municipal Court. Mr. Vivas-Quintero was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Vivas-Quintero was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance with the Weehawken Municipal Court.

3. On May 10th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a report of an unwanted male, attempting to enter a local bar. During their on-scene investigation, officers discovered that the male had driven his vehicle to the bar, while displaying symptoms of intoxication. Following their investigation, 43-year-old Alberto S. Herrera-Vargas of Jersey City, NJ, was arrested for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. He was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. During his arrest processing, officers also discovered that Mr. Herrera-Vargas had an active warrant for his arrest, issued by the Newark Municipal Court. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Herrera-Vargas was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released to a responsible adult, pending his next court appearances with the Guttenberg and Newark Municipal Courts.


The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
