33-Year-Old Man Shot in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray announce that at approximately 4:00 p.m. on May 18, 2025, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Spring Street and Hospital Plaza on a report of a shooting. Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area but were unable to locate a victim at the time. On May 19, 2025, Paterson Police responded to the Hackensack University Medical Center on a report that a 33-year-old male victim from Paterson New Jersey was seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound. Based on the initial investigation it was determined that the 33-year-old male was shot on May 18, 2025 in the area of Spring Street and Hospital Plaza in Paterson, New Jersey.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
