1. On May 1, 2025, at approximately 12:40 a.m., Police Officers Ricky Truppner and Valentino Salgado, were conducting a sweep of a Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) building on the 300 block of Marshall Drive when they saw two men exiting the building. They stopped the men, later identified as 40-year-old Luis Chapotin of Rochester, NY and 35-year-old Adam Nasser of Bloomfield, who could not give a valid reason for being in the building. Both were arrested for defiant trespassing. A search incident to arrest of Nasser revealed him to be in possession of a pill bottle with 30 prescription tablets that were prescribed to someone else, and he was additionally charged with possession of prescription legend drugs. Chapotin was in possession of a black folding knife as well as a wet cigarette and wrappers, both often used to absorb PCP CDS. He was additionally charged with possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, and certain persons not to have a weapon. They were transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, processed on all charges, and ultimately taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

2. On May 1, 2025, Police Officer Jennifer Lee responded to Hoboken Police Headquarters to process 29-year-old Brendon Smiley of East Orange, on charges of forgery and theft, in connection to reports of an employee of Napolis, 113 Clinton St., altering and then cashing a check meant for the restaurant. A follow-up investigation by Police Officers Chelsea Tamborra and Kyle Seper identified Smiley as the actor in this case. After being processed on all charges, Smiley was released on a summons.

3. On May 2, 2025, at approximately 4:15 a.m., Police Officers Trevor Thomas and Carmen Benitez noticed a vehicle blocking a fire hydrant on the 100 block of Fifth Street. When they approached, they found the driver, later identified as 44-year-old Anthony Salernitano of East Rutherford, sleeping. They woke him up and through the window, officers could see a clear cylindrical glass pipe with a burnt end. Salernitano was asked to step out of the car, and he was placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest of the vehicle revealed two crack pipes and a push rod. Salernitano was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also given a ticket for blocking a fire hydrant. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, and it was discovered he had a warrant from the Rutherford Police Department. He was processed on the Hoboken charges and then transported to East Rutherford to be processed on the active warrant.

4. On May 2, 2025, at approximately 8:20 a.m., Police Officers Nasir Willey and Christopher Barral responded to Pier A Park, on reports of a man yelling at other people in the area. When they got there, witnesses pointed out the individual, later identified as 25-year-old Shreesh Pun of Hoboken, and told officers Pun had become aggressive with other people. Pun was found to have an open warrant out of Hoboken for disorderly conduct. He was placed under arrest and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing. Later, during transport to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, Pun became erratic, spit on the back seat glass, and kicked the window bars. He continued to kick and spit, despite the officers' orders to stop doing so. He became aggressive with officers and began yelling at them, using vulgar language. It was later discovered that Pun had broken a door handle in the back seat. He was additionally charged with criminal mischief and ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

5. On May 2, 2025, at approximately 7:10 p.m., Police Officer Donovan Ortiz was on patrol on the 400 block of Fourth Street when he observed a man he could identify as 50-year-old Phillip Realpe of Jersey City, and knew Realpe had two active warrants for shoplifting in Hoboken. The warrants were confirmed, and Realpe was placed under arrest. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and was processed on both warrants, before ultimately being transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

6. On May 2, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Police Officers Jairo De La Cruz and Shyenna Vega responded to Shop Rite, 900 Madison St., on reports of a shoplifting where the actor was in custody of store security. An on-scene investigation revealed the actor, identified as 21-year-old Jabari Thompson of Gardena, CA, paid for only some of the items in his possession, and attempted to leave with a total of $12.99 worth of merchandise he did not scan or pay for. Thompson was placed under arrest for shopfitting and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. After being processed, he was released on a summons.

7. On May 2, 2025, at approximately 11:05 p.m., Police Officers Trevor Thomas and Matthew Bonanno were on patrol when they saw a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Jackson and Fourth Streets. They pulled the vehicle over and when the driver, later identified as 36-year-old Samuel Kenyon of Hoboken, rolled down his window, they detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the car. Officers observed his speech was slurred and slow, his body was swaying, and his eyes were watery and glassy. Sgt. Harold Milne arrived on the scene to conduct a field sobriety test, after which it was determined Kenyon was unable to safely operate a vehicle and he was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. A search of his vehicle located two open containers of alcoholic beverages. Kenyon was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where he refused to provide a breath sample. He was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, open/unsealed container of alcohol, refusal to submit to a breath test, driving with a suspended license, and failure to stop or yield. As per John’s Law, Kenyon was released into the custody of a responsible party.

8. On May 3, 2025, at approximately 5:10 a.m., Police Officer Michael Aviles observed a vehicle strike multiple other vehicles on the 400 block of Garden Street and then leave the scene. A few moments later, Police Officer Trevor Thomas observed a vehicle that fit the description of the car observed by Officer Aviles, and noticed it had damage to the front right passenger side, which appeared to be new. He pulled the vehicle over on Observer Highway at Henderson Street. Police Officers Zackary Guido, Ronald Kibitlewski, Nicklas Valerius, and Aidan Gonzalez arrived on the scene to assist. When they approached the vehicle, officers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver, later identified as 25-year-old Jovanny Islas-Perez of Jersey City. Officers also observed multiple cans of alcoholic beverages on the back seat and floor. Islas-Perez was asked to turn off the car and step out of the vehicle, but he ignored both commands until officers turned the car off for him. When he got out of the vehicle, Islas-Perez took a couple of steps without any sense of direction, and he was placed in handcuffs. He slurred his words and had watery and glassy eyes. A field sobriety test was conducted, after which it was determined Islas-Perez was unable to operate a motor vehicle safely and he was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. A search of his vehicle discovered one can of an alcoholic beverage. Officers also located a handgun and ammunition in the glove compartment. Islas-Perez was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and charged with possession of prohibited weapons and devices, certain persons not to have weapons or ammunition, unlawful possession of weapons, and possession of weapons for unlawful purpose. He was also issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving with an open alcoholic beverage container, failure to report an accident, leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a license, and driving with a suspended registration. It was discovered he had an outstanding warrant out of Jersey City for obstruction. He was processed and ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

9. On May 3, 2025, at approximately 6:05 a.m., Police Officers Brandon Cappelluti and Valentino Salgado were on patrol on the 1300 block of Sinatra Drive when the observed a vehicle running while parked in a handicap spot and a person sleeping in the driver’s seat. As they approached, they noticed vomit on the driver’s side door and on the person sleeping in the driver’s seat. When the driver, later identified as 28-year-old Ricky Gonzalez of Fairview, woke up, officers observed him to have bloodshot eyes, and he apeared to be confused. They also detected the odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath. Police Officer Ricky Truppner responded to the scene to conduct a standard field sobriety test, after which Gonzalez was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. A search incident to arrest found him to be in possession of a small baggie containing a white powdery substance suspected to be CDS crack cocaine. Gonzalez was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, where he was processed on charges of possession of CDS and driving while intoxicated. As per John's Law, he was released into the custody of a responsible party.

10. On May 3, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Police Officers Anthony Olivera and Shyenna Vega were on patrol on the 300 block of Jackson Street when they saw a vehicle they knew was registered to Darnell Walker, and knew Walker had an active traffic warrant against him. The registration was confirmed, and officers pulled the vehicle over on the 200 block of Clinton Street. Sgt. Daniel Grossi, Sgt. Roary Miller, and Police Officer Alexander Miller arrived on the scene to assist. Walker was unable to provide a valid registration for the vehicle. The warrant was confirmed, and Walker was placed under arrest. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing, and ultimately released on bail, with a new court date.

11. On May 4, 2025, at approximately 3:50 a.m., Police Officers Michael Aviles and Trevor Thomas were conducting a routine check of Pier A Park, when they observed a tent set up on a gravel section in the park. The occupant was advised he could not pitch a tent in the park, and he needed to pack up his belongings and tent. The man, later identified as 32-year-old Delwin Gabriel of Jersey City, refused to exit the tent. Sgt. Robert Roman arrived on the scene to assist. It was discovered Gabriel had an open warrant out of Hudson County for unlawful possession of weapons. Gabriel eventually came out of the tent and was placed under arrest. He was transported to a local hospital, and ultimately to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

12. On May 4, 2025, at approximately 10:50 a.m., Sgt. James Barbro and Police Officers Roberto Cuevas and Frank Lombardo responded to ShopRite, 900 Madison St., on reports of a shoplifting. An on-scene investigation revealed the actor, later identified as 58-year-old David Lorente of North Bergen, concealed items in his pockets and tried to leave without paying for approximately $9.96 worth of merchandise before he was stopped by store security at the exit. Lorente was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where it was discovered he had a warrant out of Hoboken for burglary and package theft. He was processed on charges of shoplifting and defiant trespassing, since he had been told prior to this incident he was no longer allowed to enter any ShopRite store. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

13. On May 4, 2025, at approximately 8:55 p.m., Police Officers Brian Kim, Nicholas Losurdo, Roberto Cuevas, and Kyle Seper responded to the 300 block of Marshall Drive on reports of a possible fight. An on-scene investigation revealed an individual, later identified as 19-year-old Madison Allen of Jersey City, sprayed pepper spray at another individual, and then assaulted the other person, causing injuries to the victims' eyes, elbow, and hand. Officers located Allen nearby and placed her under arrest. She was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, processed, and ultimately released on a summons for aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and unlawful use of a weapon.

14. On May 5, 2025, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Police Officers Anthony Rutkowski and Aaron Font responded to ShopRite, 900 Madison St., on reports of a shoplifting where the actor was in custody of store security. An on-scene investigation revealed an individual, later identified as 40- year-old Anthony Iorio of Jersey City, put a package of sushi rolls in his backpack, and attempted to leave the store without paying. Iorio was arrested for shoplifting and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. It was discovered he had an active warrant out of Jersey City. He was processed on the shoplifting charge and the warrant. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Center.

15. On May 5, 2025, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Sgt. Anthony Russo was working an outside employment traffic job near the intersection of Monroe and Newark Streets when he observed a vehicle in a marked lane, and he informed the driver, later identified as 25-year-old Ashley Turner of Orange, that she had to proceed straight to leave the marked lane. Turner ignored the Sergeant’s instruction and instead attempted to make a left-hand turn, which would require her to cut off other vehicles. She refused to produce her license, registration, and insurance card when asked. She was ordered to pull over, which she refused to do. Turner was told if she did not pull over, she would be arrested. Turner briefly started to drive away and then stopped when Sgt. Russo opened her door. She continued to refuse to hand over her paperwork and began to make a phone call. Turner was placed under arrest for obstructing the administration of the law and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. She was additionally issued a summons for failure to comply with directions of officers and failure to maintain lane. Turner was processed and released with a summons and court date.

16. On May 6, 2025, at approximately 8:40 a.m., Police Officers Harry Montalvo, Frank Lombardo, Donovan Ortiz, and Vincent Guastini responded to the 300 block of Jackson Street on reports of a man passed out in a 10th floor stairwell of a Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) building. Upon arrival they located a man they identified as 69-year-old Roberto Ortiz of Hoboken, who did not live in the building. Ortiz was issued a summons for defiant trespassing, escorted out, and advised not to return to the building.

17. On May 6, 2025, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Police Officer Jessica Pizanie arrested, and formally processed 36-year-old Jon Allison of Hoboken, in connection to a November 27, 2024 incident, during which multiple Hoboken Police Officers responded to Mojo Coffee, 801 Bloomfield St., on reports of two people being attacked by a man, later identified as Allison. An on-scene investigation revealed Allison had followed two women and grabbed one by the arm. A struggle ensued and the woman fell to the ground. Allison was arrested and charged with harassment. On May 6, Allison was arrested, formally processed at Hoboken Police Headquarters, and ultimately taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

18. On May 6, 2025, at approximately 10:25 p.m., Police Officers Bianca Arroyo and Marvin DeJesus transported 23-year-old Antonio Rosario-Matos of North Bergen from the Essex County Correctional Facility to Hoboken Police Headquarters to process him on an active warrant for theft of a vehicle and burglary. The charges stem from a May 2, 2025, incident where a City of Hoboken Community Compost vehicle was stolen from its parking spot. A follow-up investigation identified Rosario-Matos as the actor. After being processed, he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

19. On May 7, 2025, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Police Officers Carmen Benitez and Brandon Cappelluti responded to Hoboken Police Headquarters to process the warrant arrest of 43-year-old Julio Ortiz of Union City, who was transported to Hoboken by West New York Police officers. Ortiz was wanted in Hoboken, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional facility

20. On May 7, 2025, at approximately 2:40 a.m., Police Officers Frank Losurdo and Jaydan Gonzalez responded to TD Bank, 47 Newark St., on reports of someone sleeping in the vestibule. Upon arrival, officers were able to identify the individual as 64-year-old Antonio Figueroa of Hoboken, and he was issued a summons for defiant trespassing. He was released with a court date and advised of local shelters available to him.

21. On May 7, 2025, at approximately 11:25 a.m., Sgt. Adam Colon and Police Officer Harry Montalvo were in the area of 3rd and Jackson Streets, when they observed a woman, they could identify as 52-year-old Diane Luciano and knew she had an active warrant out of Hoboken for possession of drug paraphernalia. The warrant was confirmed, and Luciano was placed under arrest for bail jumping. She was processed and released from custody, with a new court date.

22. On May 7, 2025, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Police Officer Ahmed Makshat responded to Hoboken Police Headquarters to process the arrest of 30-year-old Lauren Moscioni, of Mendham who was turning herself in on charges of criminal mischief. Moscioni was wanted in connection with brakes being cut on someone else’s motorcycle, reported in March 2025. A follow-up investigation identified Moscioni as the actor in the case. After being processed, she was released from custody.

23. On May 7, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Police Officers Daniel Barron and Marc Lombardo responded to the North Arlington Police Department to pick up an arrestee, identified as 25-year-old Jared Carrion-Montalvo of Belville who had an active warrant out of Hoboken. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and processed on a warrant for aggravated assault in connection to an incident on March 7, 2024 where Carrion-Montalvo bumped into another man, threatened to fight him, pulled a knife, and then hit the other man with his fist, causing a deep cut. A follow-up investigation identified Carrion-Montalvo as the actor, and he was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and making terroristic threats. After being processed on May 7, he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
