1. On June 2nd, 2025, while conducting pro-active foot patrol, members of the
Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division located a male, who had an active
warrant for his arrest. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 37-year-old Gary Felices of West New York, NJ, for an active warrant, issued by the West
New York Municipal Court. Mr. Felices was then transported to the Guttenberg
Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest
processing, Mr. Felices was transferred into the custody of members of the West New
York Police Department.
2. On June 2nd, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police
Department’s Patrol Division arrested 19-year-old Fernando Hernandez of West New
York, NJ, for eluding an officer [2C:29-2B], obstructing the administration of law
[2C:29-1A], and disorderly conduct [2C:33-2A]. Mr. Hernandez was then transported
to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of
his arrest processing, Mr. Hernandez was issued his complaint summons, various
summonses for traffic violations and then released from police custody.
3. On June 3rd, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police
Department’s Patrol Division arrested 25-year-old Prebish L. Medrano-Calderon of
Fairview, NJ, after discovering that he had an active warrant, issued by the Union
City Municipal Court. Mr. Medrano-Calderon was then transported to the Guttenberg
Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest
processing, Mr. Medrano-Calderon was released on his own recognizance, pending his
next court appearance with the Union City Municipal Court.
4. On June 7th, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police
Department’s Patrol Division arrested 22-year-old Brian F. Aldana-Vasquez of Union
City, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Aldana-Vasquez was then
transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. During his
arrest processing, officers discovered that Mr. Aldana-Vasquez had initially provided
a different name on-scene and was charged with hindering his own apprehension
[2C:29-3B(4)] as a result. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Aldana-
Vasquez was issued his complaint summons, thirteen summonses for traffic
violations, and then released from police custody.
The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed
innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
