On 06/09/2025 at 9:03 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30-year-old male, Edgar Najera of Hoboken, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police, Resisting Arrest [2C:29-3A] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Mr. Najera was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $7,500.00 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $3,500.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Najera was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 06/11/2025 at 10:08 AM, Secaucus Police arrested a 52-year-old male, Wilber Sanchez-Irrizary of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department with no bail. Mr. Sanchez-Irrizary was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Sanchez-Irrizary was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 06/06/2025 at 10:14 PM, following an investigation of an incident that occurred near Schmidts Woods located at 18 Millridge Road on the same date, the police arrested a 12-year-old male of Secaucus, NJ for Simple Assault [2C:12-1A(2)], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D] and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D], specifically a BB gun. The juvenile male was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. On 06/12/2025 at 4:02 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the 1500 block of Paterson Plank Road and subsequently charged a 13-year-old juvenile male of Secaucus, NJ with Simple Assault [2C:12-1A], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D] and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D], specifically a BB gun. Both juvenile males were issued their complaint summonses and were released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 06/13/2025 at 5:17 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 41-year-old male, Luis Chapotin of Rochester, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A]. Mr. Chapotin was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 06/15/2025 at 4:21 AM, Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle stopped at the intersection of Minnie Place and Centre Avenue in the yellow zone. The operator of the motor vehicle also appeared to be asleep in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. During the investigation, the Police arrested a 27-year-old male, Wilmer Vasquez Cruz of Monmouth Junction, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Vasquez Cruz was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.


These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
