Local Man Shot in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray announce that at approximately 3:21 a.m. on June 14, 2025, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Ellison Street and Summer Street on a report of a shooting. Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area but were unable to locate a victim at the time. Later in the morning, Paterson Police responded to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center on a report that a 24-year-old male victim from Paterson, New Jersey was seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound. Based on the initial investigation it was determined that the 24-year-old male was shot in the area of Ellison Street and Summer Street in Paterson, New Jersey.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
