Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Wayne Police Chief Joseph Rooney
announce that on June 27, 2025, at approximately 9:27 a.m., the Wayne Police Department
responded to Ratzer Road on a reported motor vehicle incident. A pedestrian was struck by a
motorcycle on Ratzer Road. The pedestrian, a 77-year-old male from Wayne, was subsequently
pronounced deceased. The driver of the motorcycle remained on scene.
This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes
available.
