Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman
announce that at approximately 3:26 a.m. on June 28, 2025, members of the Passaic Police
Department responded to the area of Third Street and Essex Street in Passaic, New Jersey on a
report of shots fired. Upon arrival, responding officers were able to locate a potential crime
scene. Shortly thereafter, Passaic Police Department responded to St. Joseph’s University
Medical Center on a report that a 27-year-old male victim from Passaic, New Jersey was seeking
treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it
becomes available.
