1. On June 24th, 2025, while addressing a parking complaint, members of the
Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 27-year-old Rianna L. Velez
of Guttenberg, NJ, after discovering that she had an active warrant, issued by the
Edgewater Municipal Court. Ms. Velez was then transported to the Guttenberg Police
Department for her arrest processing. Upon the completion of her arrest processing,
Ms. Velez was released on her own recognizance, pending her next court appearance
with the Edgewater Municipal Court.
2. On June 24th, 2025, the Guttenberg Police Department was informed by the New
Jersey State Police that they had a male in their custody with an active warrant,
issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. Our officers responded to the State Police
barracks in Bloomfield, NJ, where they arrested 24-year-old Xavion E. Miller of
Guttenberg, NJ. Mr. Miller was then transported to the Guttenberg Police
Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing,
Mr. Miller was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance
with the Guttenberg Municipal Court.
3. On June 26th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division
observed two males engaged in a verbal dispute on Park Avenue. The dispute
escalated into a physical altercation, at which point officers arrested 30-year-old
Ulices R. Gamero-Borja of West New York, NJ, for simple assault [2C:12-1A(1)] and
39-year-old Jose M. Alonso of West New York, NJ, for disorderly conduct [2C:33-
2A(1)]. Both defendants were transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for
their arrest processing. Upon the completion of their arrest processing, they were both
issued their complaint summonses and then released from police custody.
4. On June 28th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division
received a report of criminal mischief and theft at a local fitness center. As the result
of their criminal investigation, officers arrested 20-year-old Ashley I. Duarte of North
Bergen, NJ, for criminal trespass [2C:18-3A], criminal mischief [2C:17-3A(1)], and
theft [2C:20-3A]. Officers also arrested 20-year-old Leslie D. Ortiz-Urgiles of
Fairview, NJ, for criminal trespass [2C:18-3A]. Ms. Duarte and Ms. Ortiz-Urgiles
were both transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for their arrest
processing. Upon the completion of their arrest processing, they were both issued
their complaint summonses and released from police custody.
5. On June 29th, 2025, while on patrol, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s
Patrol Division observed an assault on Bergenline Avenue. Officers then arrested 31-
year-old Miguel Morales-DeLacruz of North Bergen, NJ, for simple assault [2C:12-
1A(1)]. Mr. Morales-DeLacruz was then transported to the Guttenberg Police
Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing,
Mr. DeLacruz was issued his complaint summons and then released from police
custody.
6. On June 29th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division
responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Park Avenue. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 32-year-old Brian Mayorga of West New York,
NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Mayorga was then transported to the
Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his
arrest processing, Mr. Mayorga was issued various summonses for traffic violations
and then released to the custody of a responsible adult.
The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed
innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
