Hackensack Man Charged with Sexual Assault of a Child

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 38-year-old ALFREDO F. INGASICHA of Hackensack, NJ on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and sexual assault by contact. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Hackensack Police Department, under the direction of Chief Michael Antista.

On Saturday, June 29, 2025, the Hackensack Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Hackensack Police Department revealed that ALFREDO F. INGASICHA endangered and sexually assaulted the juvenile in Hackensack, NJ on multiple occasions, between the dates of December 1, 2024, and February 3, 2025. The investigation also revealed that INGASICHA provided the child with alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, ALFREDO F. INGASICHA was arrested in Hackensack, NJ and charged with two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1); and three counts of fourth-degree sexual assault by contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3b. INGASICHA was remanded to the Bergen County Jail.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations, and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Hackensack Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
