Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In- Charge
Patrick Murray announce that at approximately 7:46 p.m. on July 9, 2025, members of the Paterson
Police Department responded to the area of 12th Avenue and Madison Avenue on a report of a
shooting. While on scene, police located a 55-year-old male victim from Paterson, New Jersey.
He was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment for non-fatal gunshot
wounds. Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes
available.
