1. On July 10th, 2025, while on patrol, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s
Patrol Division observed a male trespassing at a construction site on Polk Street.
Officers then arrested 39-year-old Mario Crisosmo of Palisades Park, NJ, for criminal
trespass [2C:18-3A]. Mr. Crisosmo was transported to the Guttenberg Police
Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing,
Mr. Crisosmo was issued his complaint summons and then released from police
custody.
2. On July 10th, 2025, the Guttenberg Police Department discovered that a male had
filed an Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request through the Town of Guttenberg’s
Clerk’s Office and that some pertinent information he provided was false. During the
investigation, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal
Investigation’s Bureau confirmed that the false information provided on the OPRA
form was subject to penalties under N.J.S. 2C:28-3. On July 11th, 2025, 55-year-old
Edward Garcia of Guttenberg, NJ, was arrested at police headquarters for unsworn
falsification to authorities [2C:18-3A]. Upon the completion of his arrest processing,
Mr. Garcia was issued his complaint warrant and then lodged in the Hudson County
Correctional Center.
3. On July 10th, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police
Department’s Patrol Division arrested 31-year-old Eswin J. Pineda-Miranda of Union
City, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Pineda-Miranda was then
transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the
completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Pineda-Miranda was issued numerous
summonses for traffic violations and then released into the custody of a responsible
adult.
4. On July 13th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division
were informed of a vehicle that had a broken windshield and popped tires. While
walking towards the damaged vehicle, officers observed two individuals near the
vehicle as the tires were losing air pressure. Officers attempted to speak with the
males, at which point they ran away on foot. After a foot pursuit, officers found one of
the involved males at a residence in North Bergen. With the assistance of the North
Bergen Police Department and as the result of their investigation, officers arrested
21-year-old Richard F. Pena of North Bergen, NJ, for criminal mischief [2C:17-3A(1)],
obstructing the administration of law [2C:29-1A], and resisting arrest/eluding [2C:29-
2A(1)]. Mr. Pena was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his
arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Pena was issued
his complaint warrant and then lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.

innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
