Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge
Patrick Murray announce that at approximately 1:46 a.m. on July 22, 2025, members of the
Paterson Police Department were dispatched to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center on a report
of a shooting. Police met with a 38-year-old male victim from Paterson, New Jersey suffering from
a non-fatal gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital via private vehicle. Based on
information obtained during the course of the investigation police were able to determine a
shooting took place in the area of Park Avenue and East 22nd Street.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes
available.
