On July 1, 2025, Millburn Police Detective Wichelns concluded an investigation into a reported
wallet theft and credit card fraud that occurred in June at Bloomingdale’s, located in the Short
Hills Mall. The investigation stemmed from a woman’s report that her wallet was stolen from her
purse while shopping at the store. As a result of the investigation, Nidia Delgado, 39, of
Brooklyn, NY, was charged with theft of a wallet, credit card theft, and fraudulent use of a credit
card.
On July 9, 2025 Millburn Police Officer Goldfarb responded to Highland Ave on a report of an
intoxicated male driving a grey BMW X7. The vehicle was located. The investigation led to the
arrest of Timothy Milton, age 47, of Short Hills for suspected DWI. Milton was charged with
DWI and related motor vehicle offenses. He was later released to an acquaintance.
On July 13, 2025, Millburn Police Officer Ford conducted a motor vehicle stop on a stolen 2024
Jeep Wagoneer at the traffic light on JFK Parkway South near the Short Hills Mall. The vehicle
had been reported stolen out of Connecticut on July 9, 2025. The driver, identified as Lydia
Alicia, age 36, of New Haven, CT, and two passengers, Kashan Wright, age 35, and Jalil Cox,
age 36, were taken into custody and charged with Receiving Stolen Property (Motor Vehicle).
During a search incident to arrest, Lydia Alicia was found in possession of 26 stolen credit cards,
9 forms of identification, and controlled dangerous substances (CDS). In addition to the
receiving stolen property charge, she was also charged with: Possession of CDS, Credit Card
Theft, Trafficking in Personal Identifying Information.
On July 15, 2025, Millburn Police Officer Matos conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2020
Honda Accord displaying temporary Georgia tags on Essex Street for a traffic violation. The
driver, identified as Ismael Ruizespinosa, age 26, of Irvington, presented a fraudulent registration
and insurance card. Further investigation led to his arrest, and a search incident to arrest revealed
multiple credit cards belonging to unknown individuals. He was charged with credit card fraud,
credit card theft, exhibiting a fraudulent registration, and multiple motor vehicle violations.
These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or
are found guilty in a court of law.
