Rutherford Man Arrested for Fraudulently Purchasing Auto Parts

The Fairfield Police Department announce the arrest of Wolfgang Justice-Webber for an attempted theft by deception on July 25, 2025. On that date, at approximately 1:06 PM, the Fairfield Police Department was contacted by representatives of US Auto Forces, a tire distribution business located at 67 Route 46, in regard to a possible fraudulent purchase of tires. It was reported that Jiffy Lube, in Pinebrook, is a legitimate contracted customer of theirs. Jiffy Lube uses an online portal to purchase tires from US Auto Forces to be used for their customer’s vehicles. Often these orders would be picked up and paid for through a credit account.

On this date, US Auto Forces was contacted by representatives of Jiffy Lube notifying them that the three most recent invoices were not authorized by the company and needed to be cancelled. It was discovered that the suspect that placed the fraudulent order was still on the way to pick up the three purchases valued at $1781.94. It was decided that they would let the suspect continue to come for the tires and that the police would be re-contacted when the suspect arrived.

At around 4:10 PM, it is alleged that Justice-Webber, who was operating a 2021 grey Infiniti arrived to pick up the tires. The police were immediately contacted and arrived to further their investigation. It is alleged that Justice-Webber acknowledged that he is a current employee of the Jiffy Lube and told authorities he was authorized to pick up the tires. It is further alleged that management for Jiffy Lube was contacted and unequivocally informed police that he was not authorized to purchase or pick up the tires.

Further investigation at the scene led to the discovery ofthe following:
  • (25) prior purchase orders for tires from US Auto Force, valued at $17,147.23
  • (6) prior purchase orders for various items from Advance Auto Parts (1500 Route 46 Parsippany) valued at $1015.36
  • (2) prior purchase orders for tires from Pinebrook Tire Company (25 Changebridge Rd Montville) valued at $623.80
  • $2459.00 in US Currency

Justice-Webber was placed under arrest and his vehicle was impounded. He was currently charged with one count of attempted theft by deception and released on his own recognizance, however, the case is still under investigation and additional charges are anticipated.

“Ironically, Justice-Webber will be living up to his name as he will soon be facing justice for all of his alleged illegal activity” said Chief Anthony G. Manna

(It should be noted that the charge against Justice-Webber is merely an allegation and that he is presumed innocent until he either pleads guilty or is found guilty in a court of law)
