
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Clifton Police Chief Thomas Rinaldi
announce that at approximately 10:57pm on Tuesday July 29, 2025, members of the Clifton
Police Department were dispatched to the area of Third Street and Foster Street on a report of a
gunshot victim. Upon arrival, police located an 18-year-old male Clifton resident who had
sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound. The individual was immediately transported to St.
Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment. At approximately
11:25pm, Clifton Police were notified that a second 18-year-old male Clifton resident arrived at
St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey with a non-fatal gunshot wound. This male
was later transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. Based upon the
preliminary investigation, police determined that the shooting occurred in the area of Third Street
and Foster Street in Clifton, New Jersey. A potential crime scene was located in that area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it
becomes available.
