Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.

Tenafly Tiger Junior Football registration for grades 3rd to 8th and all Summer programs and camps are available online on Community Pass. For details please visit the Programs & Sports section via the Parks & Recreation button on the Borough website.

Our Summer Concert series continues in Huyler Park next Tuesday, August 5 at 7:00 pm with the blues guitar and a twist of soul from Saron Crenshaw. Then on Thursday, August 7 at 7:00 pm it is the hard-driving punk power pop of Kanak. Bring your lawn chair and see you there!

The Nature Center offers some wild and wonderful ways to connect with nature this August! Get creative at Crafty Critters, on Saturday, August 2 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Meet a live animal and then make your own masterpiece inspired by your new furry or scaly friend! For little ones, our Summer Family Forest School continues every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:30 am through August 20. It’s the perfect mix of play, learning, and nature for ages 1.5 to 3.5!

Don’t miss the Protect Our Home with STEM program on Sunday, August 3, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm! This hands-on workshop for children ages 8+ combines science and environmental awareness through fun experiments, pond sampling, and simple circuit building. Spots are limited, register now at tenaflynaturecenter.org and let’s make the most of summer in the great outdoors!

Join in on Monday, August 4 at Montammy Golf Club to celebrate 25 years of the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades Play Fore! the Kids, a day of golf, tennis and community. From a high-energy shoot-out to a live DJ and amazing swag, this event supports vital programs for children of all abilities through the Guttenberg Center for Special Services. Mark your calendar - August 23 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm it is the fifth annual Rummage and Bake Sale fundraiser at the Tenafly Senior Center. Housewares, appliances, furniture, collectibles, jewelry and so much more. This event is open to all.
