On 07/28/2025 at 7:14 PM, Officers from the Union City Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and transferred custody of a 23-year-old male, Antonio Rosario-Matos of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $5,000.00 with a 10% option. Rosario-Matos was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On 07/29/2025 at 8:50 AM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to an attempted burglary to a residence on Koelle Boulevard and Arn Terrace on 07/07/2025, the police responded to East Orange, NJ and arrested a 17-year-old male of East Orange, NJ for 2 counts of Criminal Attempt to commit Burglary [2C:5-1A(1)], 2 counts of Criminal Attempt to commit Motor Vehicle Theft [2C:5-1A(1)] and 2 counts of Conspiracy to commit Burglary [2C:5-2A(1)]. The juvenile male was issued 2 juvenile complaints and remanded to the Essex County Juvenile Detention Center.

On 07/30/2025 at 1:22 AM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the area of the Extended Stay America located at 1 Meadowlands Parkway. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29-year-old male, Carrell Threets of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Threets was unable to post bail for the involved warrant. Mr. Threets was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was subsequently transported to the Jersey City Police Department.

On 07/30/2025 at 12:23 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 48-year-old male, Edward Rodriguez of West New York, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Rodriguez was issued his complaint warrant along with 1 motor vehicle summons and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 07/30/2025 at 4:20 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a Theft by Deception incident reported to the police on 01/22/2025, the police arrested a 22-year-old male, Frank Petrone of Secaucus, NJ for Theft by Deception [2C:20-4]. Petrone was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Petrone was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 07/31/2025 at 12:18 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 54-year-old male, Marcus Ortiz of Passaic, NJ along with a 58-year-old male, Denut Tapalaga of Paterson, NJ for Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-5B(11)(B)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. The police also arrested a 38-year-old male, Justin Lopez of Clifton, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Lopez was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Mr. Ortiz along with Mr. Tapalaga and Mr. Lopez were issued their complaint warrants and were subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 07/31/2025 at 1:14 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 21-year-old male, Michael Pellegrino of Bayonne, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Pellegrino was issued his motor vehicle summons along with 2 additional motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 08/01/2025 at 8:56 PM, Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle stopped on the shoulder of Route 3 East. During the investigation, the police arrested a 56-year-old male, Joselito Caraballo of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Keyport, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Caraballo was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 08/02/2025 at 7:08 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 164 Centre Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 61-year-old male, Dennis Estrada of North Bergen, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Estrada was also charged with 3 counts of Possession of CDS believed to be Alprazolam and Diazepam, Being Under the Influence of CDS [2C:35-10B] and Possession of Certain Prescription Legend Drugs [2C:35-24]. Mr. Estrada was issued his complaint summons along with 10 motor vehicle summonses and he was subsequently released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 08/02/2025 at 10:14 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 42-year-old female, Lisa Jackson of Wildwood Crest, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Jackson was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Atlantic County, NJ with no bail. The police also arrested a 36-year-old male, Lamond Walker of Rio Grande, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(2)]. Both Ms. Jackson and Mr. Walker were issued their complaint warrants and were subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 08/03/2025 at 1:39 AM, Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle stopped on County Avenue in the lane of traffic. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30-year-old female, Shaine Dechavez of Kearny, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Dechavez was issued her motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional motor vehicle summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 08/03/2025 at 5:40 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 45-year-old male, Salvatore Cutaia of Bloomfield, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Theft by Deception [2C:20-4]. Cutaia was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.


These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
