This investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Woodcliff Lake Police Department, under the direction of Chief Stephen Regula.
On Friday, August 1, 2025, at approximately 4:51 p.m., the Woodcliff Lake Police Department responded to a serious accident involving a motorcycle on Pascack Road, near the intersection of West Hill Road. Responding officers from Woodcliff Lake, with assistance from local EMS and paramedics, as well as police officers from surrounding towns, converged on the accident. Despite life-saving efforts, the motorcyclist, who was later identified as 24-year-old Frank J. Fea of Middletown, NY, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Woodcliff Lake Police Department subsequently notified the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit and requested assistance with the investigation. The investigation has thus far revealed that a 2025 Honda motorcycle, which was operated by Frank J. Fea, collided with a 2015 Kia. The impact caused Fea to be ejected from the motorcycle and suffer fatal injuries. This crash did not involve any suspected criminality, and no criminal charges are expected to be filed as a result of this tragic accident.
Prosecutor Mark Musella would like to thank the Woodcliff Lake Police Department, Park Ridge Police Department, Hillsdale Police Department, and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in this investigation.
