Ridgewood Man Shot in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray announce that at approximately 3:18 p.m. on August 4, 2025, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Park Avenue and East 18th Street on a report of a shooting. Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area but were unable to locate a victim at the time. Later on in the evening, Paterson Police responded to Valley Hospital in Paramus on a report that a 60-year-old male victim from Ridgewood, New Jersey was seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound. Based on the investigation it was determined that the male was shot in the area of Park Avenue and East 18th Street in Paterson, New Jersey.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
