Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Morris County Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Washington Township Police Chief Jeffrey Almer announce the arrest of Gregory Rademacher, age 71, of Washington Township, for alleged Sexual Assault and Possession of Child Sex Abuse Material (CSAM).
The defendant has been charged with one count of Sexual Assault, a second-degree crime; one count Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Sexual Conduct with a minor under the age of 18), a second-degree crime; one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Possession of CSAM, a third-degree crime; and one count Witness Tampering, a third-degree crime.
On July 27, 2025, a 10-year-old child disclosed that the defendant committed multiple acts of sexual contact upon the child while the child was visiting defendant’s residence located in Washington Township. The child also alleged that the defendant showed him a sex toy.
During execution of a search warrant, numerous electronic devices were located and were found to contain alleged images of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
Rademacher was arrested on the above charges on August 4, 2025. Following his arrest, the State filed a motion for him to be detained pretrial. That motion is pending.
