On 08/18/2025 at 9:14 AM, Secaucus Police observed an individual cross a street while not using the designated marked crosswalk. During the investigation, the police arrested a 42-year-old male, Gerald Digilio of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $750.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Digilio was unable to post bail for the involved warrants. Officer’s from the Paterson Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Digilio for transport back to their agency.

On 008/19/2025 at 8:17 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 21-year-old male, Jordy Pena-Mendez of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Woodland Park, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Pena-Mendez was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 08/19/2025 at 2:47 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot at UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of an individual sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle and appeared to be asleep. During the investigation, the police arrested a 47-year-old male, Jose Ponce-Mayorquin of Hackensack, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Ponce-Mayorquin was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Mr. Ponce-Mayorquin was issued his complaint summons along with 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 08/21/2025 at 12:08 AM, Secaucus Police responded to County Avenue and Paterson Plank Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 46-year-old male, Thomas Gaggin of Wyckoff, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Gaggin was issued 9 motor vehicle summonses and he was subsequently released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 08/22/2025 at 12:07 PM, the police arrested a 53-year-old male, Chafin Pyle of Weehawken, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Pyle was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Pyle was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.

On 08/22/2025 at 7:03 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of New County Road and Seaview Drive on a report of a motor vehicle crash. The one vehicle involved in the crash had fled the scene and was subsequently located at 100 Seaview Drive. During the investigation, the police arrested a 49-year-old male, Shakir Qureshi of Selden, NY for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Qureshi was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 08/23/2025 at 3:39 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, the police arrested a 41-year-old male, Shyquan Hicks of Irvington, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Hicks was also charged with Disorderly Conduct [2C:33-2B] and Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A]. Mr. Hicks was issued 5 motor vehicle summonses along with his complaint summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 08/23/2025 at 10:13 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 25-year-old male, Yafrency Cruz of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Marlboro, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Cruz was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
