Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray announce that on August 27, 2025, at approximately 10:34 p.m.,
members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of North 10th Street and
Clinton Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of shots fired. After arriving on scene, officers
were advised that there was a victim on North 8th Street. Officers located the victim, a 16-year-old male from Paterson, New Jersey, with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Saint
Joseph’s University Medical Center where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.
This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes
available.
